Ranger's Path does seem like the better card.

I've been adding Ring of Three Wishes and Vandalblast to my other decks to deal with stax, so maybe this is worth adding here, too.

Would need to add Chaos Warp too, but this can all be done later.

Probably should swap out Time of Need for Finale of Devastation .

One caveat about Finale of Devastation vs. Time of Need , however -

In terms of counterspells, opponents are more likely to counter FoD than ToN because this deck mostly only protects against creature counters and FoD - while it tutors a creature to the field - is not a creature spell. And ToN is less likely to be countered because control players will likely misplay due to the general rule that tutors that don't fetch to the field should not be countered. An expert player won't make that sort of misplay, but I speculate most others will.

This is, of course, a subtle point, but potentially important nonetheless.

Let's consider Force of Vigor for anti-stax.

Llanowar Tribe is a potential upgrade for Greenweaver Druid.

I think Llanowar Tribe is really not good here, for monogreen only.

We probably need to put in either Talisman of Impulse or Carpet of Flowers to smooth out the early game ramp - it's just too inconsistent.

Carpet of Flowers is solid if you have a lot of blue in your meta consistently. I do like the Talismans, as they fit that two drop mana rock mold. I'm so glad they finished out the cycle in Modern Horizons.

Let's consider throwing Ricochet Trap back in for the surprise anti-counter.

To get more color, I could replace 2 mountains with 2 duals.

Domri, Anarch of Bolas does what this deck likes. Downside is that it's a planeswalker.

Probably this deck's biggest weakness is sacrifice effects, so consider adding Tajuru Preserver and perhaps another way to tutor for it.
