Shadows Standard Week 3 —April 23, 2016

Second time piloting this deck for FNM. Much better week this time around, although was unlucky in one round because of lands. Ended the night as 2-2. Round 1: G/B sacrifice. Round 2: U/R Goggles. Round 3: Bant Coco. Round 4: Mono white Humans.

Changes made for this week: -3 Atarka's Command, -2 Woodland Wanderer, +2 Traverse the Ulvenwald, +1 Oath of Nissa, +2 Nahiri, the Harbinger.

This week had some really good matches. I faced against two of the top decks at this time, Humans and Bant Coco, and came out on top against one of them. The human match up is difficult; I need to kill their creatures asap or else I just can't do anything. The Bant games were very interactive, but I came out on top and won it two. Their lack of removal is perhaps their biggest weakness.

General Notes: Sin Prodder does some serious work for me. In round one, I had three out at once in the second match and just generated so much card advantage. Often the cards were lands, but with enough on board already the prodders were pretty much giving me gas. I didn't see Nahiri or Arlinn much, but their utility is still too great to warrant cutting. However, I am considering cutting the two Oath of Gideon for next time, and putting in a fourth Oath of Nissa and maybe another piece of removal.

A couple of Impact Tremors or a few Second Harvest would be a nice addition to this deck. I built a modern naya tokens deck if you wanted to check it out.

In your description you linked and quoted Sin Collector instead of Sin Prodder

Cool idea. Always enjoy superfriends :)
