Signature spell: The Elderspell
I got the idea for this deck after drafting a box of War of the Spark; my buddy and I essentially ended up with mini superfriends decks head to head after all was said and done. A great experience, I highly recommend booster drafting WotS.
Proliferate is a big theme here. Your super friends & mana rocks can get pretty large after a few rounds of proliferate. Use Planeswalkers to control the board and beat stick tokens with extra turns to swing for the kill. See some ideas for win cons below, but know there are many more.
- Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God & The Elderspell - self explanatory. If you have Karn Liberated out first, you can use Nicol's ultimate on the following turn if you use Karn's +4 for Nicol (loyalty ability perk). Add in Teferi, Temporal Archmage from the sideboard in tandem with Vedalken Orrery to flash in Nicol at end of opponent's turn, and ulti on your own turn.
- Titan Forge or Orochi Hatchery can pump out vertical or horizontal tokens, whichever you need more of, escalates quickly with proliferate.
- Goblin Bomb - win 1 flip & proliferate 4 times for an easy win.
- Darksteel Reactor - may take awhile, but difficult for opponent to remove, adds a sand timer to the game.
- Did I mention Spark Double gives you a 2nd Nico?
