This is my current Alela list that I've been working on for the past couple of years. I specifically tried to stay away from 2 card combos such as Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation or Rings of Brighthearth and Basalt Monolith . I wanted to make this deck able to still combo off if a couple of pieces are removed from the game so every combo has multiple ways to keep going if a piece is removed. This deck tries to win either by storming off with an Aetherflux Reservoir or by creating infinite tokens and attacking the following turn. I've also included Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge as a pet card and another way to win. If you are looking to make changes from this list I personally would cut him first.

How To Win With Aetherflux Reservoir

I personally Feel that the Aetherflux Reservoir is the better line to go for in most situations due to the fact that you don't need to wait a whole round and hope that no one board wipes to win the game. There are a couple ways to generate enough storm count to kill the table and I find that abusing Sensei's Divining Top is the easiest way to do so. The combination of cards that allow us to play cards from the top of our library and the Sensei's Divining Top second ability to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of the library allows us to create a high storm count and even draw into the Aetherflux Reservoir . So first we need a way to play card:Sensei's Diving Top from the top of our library. This can be done either with a Mystic Forge or a Bolas's Citadel . After that we simply just need Sensei's Divining Top . Next we need a way to pay for Sensei's Divining Top . If you are using a Mystic Forge then the easiest way to pay for Sensei's Divining Top is to use a mana reducer such as Etherium Sculptor or Foundry Inspector . If one isn't available then some work is going to need to be done to pay for it. The next easiest way to pay for is to first create a token when we cast card:Sensei's Diving Top and then use the token to help pay for the next Sensei's Divining Top . Ways to make tokens in the deck are: Alela, Artful Provocateur , Sai, Master Thopterist , Efficient Construction , and Mirrodin Besieged . Ways that we can use those tokens to generate are: Ashnod's Altar , Krark-Clan Ironworks , Phyrexian Altar , Chief Engineer , Grand Architect , and Urza, Lord High Artificer . Note that Krark-Clan Ironworks and Urza, Lord High Artificer won't work if you are using Alela, Artful Provocateur to generate the tokens but Grand Architect will only work if you are using Alela, Artful Provocateur . So to recap when using Mystic Forge we need to have Mystic Forge , Sensei's Divining Top , and a way to pay for Sensei's Divining Top for the combo to work. So once we have all pieces in play to start the combo first activate Sensei's Divining Top 's second ability to draw a card and put Sensei's Divining Top on top of our library. Next cast Sensei's Divining Top from the top of the library using one of the methods discussed to pay for it. Once it has resolved you will have drawn a card and may even have extra mana to work with in your mana pool. Repeat this process until you get to Aetherflux Reservoir . Make sure to play any artifacts that net mana along the way such as Mana Crypt , Sol Ring , or Lotus Petal . If you are able to cast Aetherflux Reservoir do so. Otherwise figure out a way to generate mana such as playing either Etherium Sculptor or Foundry Inspector to reduce the cost of your mana rocks and play them for free. Once you have cast Aetherflux Reservoir , continue the process of drawing a card and then playing Sensei's Divining Top from the top of your library. Each time you do so, you will be generating massive amounts of life through Aetherflux Reservoir . The next step is to simply use Aetherflux Reservoir 's second ability to kill your opponents. When using Bolas's Citadel to play Sensei's Divining Top it becomes a lot harder to find ways to pay for Sensei's Divining Top . The only way on this list to use Aetherflux Reservoir 's ability to gain life to offset the life loss from Bolas's Citadel . You will gain more life than lost so eventually you'll have enough life to use Aetherflux Reservoir 's second ability to kill the table. I personally will play Bolas's Citadel and card:Sensei's Top even if I don't have Aetherflux Reservoir since their are a lot of cards you can play off the Bolas's Citadel to get Aetherflux Reservoir .
