Persecutor seems good, but he kind of defeats the purpose of the deck. He gives me some potential for good beatdown, but this deck definitely doesn't need that.

Dash Hopes is another counterspell i came across, it's either 5 damage or a counterspell which is fine, but either way you can counter Phage w/ it.

The problem with Dash Hopes is that if I try to use it to counter Phage, it basically reads "Any player can pay 5 life to make you lose the game."

Trailblazer's Boots would also work with Phage because it makes Phage unblockable in EDH

With Hot Soup, Phage, the Unplayable becomes Phage, the Unblockable. It will have your opponents asking, "Please sir, may I have some more?"

Hot Soup is sadly far inferior to my other unblockable options. Cool card, and good joke, but Whispersilk Cloak only costs two more and is cheaper to equip.

Kusari-Gama is really good at discouraging blockers (a little costly mana wise) but its really abusable

I like that suggestion. Phage is beefy enough to make killing off utility creeps with Kusari-Gama pretty easy. Thanks for that!

I don't know about you, but I'm a really big fan of Rise of the Dark Realms. Yeah, I know it's nine mana to cast, and I understand that it doesn't always work out the way you want it to... But if something like that ever resolved, most of the time, you'd probably just win the game.

I run it in my phage edh (not listed on here) and it's saved me several times, though mine is more competitive than yours, thought I would suggest
