This is an attempt at a casual pioneer deck for my local get-togethers. They're less competitive, and are instead focused on trying to make certain kinds of decks work. I'm trying to keep most cards under $2 USD or so.

My initial idea was "I want to play Siphon Insight and other cards that steal things." Initially I thought of playing Valki, God of Lies   and making a Grixis control deck, but that would've made the mana base too inconsistent/expensive. Instead I'm keeping it Dimir and using Rogue Class and King Narfi's Betrayal as other ways to "Play your stuff"

The idea is to have an explosive 2 turn setup and then transition into using our lands to cast our opponents spells with things like Siphon Insight, Rogue Class, and King Narfi's Betrayal.

Zareth San, the Trickster is a really neat card who I should probably find the space to include. Maybe cutting Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar or Hidden Strings and including more lands. I'm still feeling out the kind of identity I want for the deck. It'll be easier once I have it in hand and play with it some.

I'm thinking also of cutting Brinebarrow Intruder for either Faerie Miscreant or Slither Blade I like the Intruder's flash and mill support (the combat trick is a nice bonus, too) but I think the evasiveness of the others could be better for Rogue Class triggers and Hidden String ciphers.

Admittedly Hidden Strings Isn't doing a whole lot in the deck since i have no heroic or magecraft triggers. But, I like that it can make an explosive T2 tempo play.
