FAMOUSWATERMELON Man this deck is 101% serious, this deck wins protours, gp's at at your local FNM. You're just jealous you can't afford it!

Ok, I take back what I said. The pure amount of votes and comments on this deck is funny. But nothing else.

Whoa, this deck is ALMOST (at) 900(upvotes)!

(Though its power level is already past that)

Tolaria West would be a great card for this deck since you can transmute it to get the islands that you need, also Remote Isle and Lonely Sandbar would be great cards to throw in because you can cycle them for more of those islands that you need, if you don't get an island then you can just transmute or cycle the other card. :) hope my suggestions helped even though that means your deck won't be standard anymore. I mean honestly this deck should be vintage it's so good.

@Tyrannosary:

Now, Im no pro when it comes to islands, but Im pretty sure those cards (previously mentioned Tolaria West, Remote Isle and Lonely Sandbar) all interrupt the combo with Island and Island.

March 11, 2015 10:08 p.m.

Tyrannosary says... #6

No they help the combo by getting the combo pieces together, in order to fully get piece after piece to chip away at the opponent you must get those combo pieces at all cost

March 11, 2015 10:15 p.m.

smackder says... #7

Sorry Tyrannosary but SandwichMan007 Is right, you NEVER want to interrupt the combos with Island and Island!

March 12, 2015 3:31 a.m.

Tyrannosary says... #8

You aren't interrupting it, you are finding the combo pieces, you can't assume that you are always going to draw and island especially when you sideboard.

smackder says... #9

Tyrannosary The good thing about this deck is that you have a 100% chance to find your combo piece! No need to complicate things

March 13, 2015 8:47 p.m.

Went 7-0 at my FNM. Made #1 with this deck. I love how Island just sets off Island in a way that Island + Mountain couldn't contend. I got mana-flooded once or twice, but always pulled the Island + Island combo for the win. I think the flooding comes from that one Island. Suggest cutting it.

GlimpsetheUnMakeable It's nice how it has a 100% win rate

asasinater13 says... #12

you need like 62 islands. you can still mill-out first on the draw, need to stop that from happening.

March 15, 2015 2:25 a.m.

smackder says... #13

asasinater13 How many times must i say! 61 cards for this deck is proven to be the best number!!! haha

March 15, 2015 2:35 a.m.

alex105008 says... #14

Some people are still uncertaian about the 61'st Island.

In reality, that 61'st island not only gives you an additional card without disrupting your combos, it also benefits you by giving you an extra card slot without lowering your draw chances too much, while at the same time raising the chances of drawing your combo pieces. It also gives you the edge against mill, and if you go on the draw, your opponents would draw themselves out first.

Example: You go from 61-60, opponent goes from 60-59, you go from 60-59, opponent goes from 59-59...

Have you ever considered splashing blue for Island? I know it sounds crazy, but if you think about it, it might just work, considering the whole Island + Island interaction thing would work so much better with an Island on the field.

Just a thought.

Can we share the love with our opponents with Lingering Mirage?

It has the benefit of cycling for more islands:D

But then the deck wouldn't be standard legal

March 15, 2015 9:51 p.m.

SpartanCEL says... #18

I mean the deck is such a standard house maybe the vintage version would run it?

March 15, 2015 9:59 p.m.

smackder says... #19

SpartanCEL He's right, this deck may be a standard power house, but it's also legal in every other format, even limited!

smackder aight man I'll try it. But those vintage islands are expensive!

March 16, 2015 9:29 p.m.

KuribohJesus says... #24

Gonna play this deck at FNM, but I'll run 15 Zendikar Islands instead of snow-covereds, cuz yea, illegals, Wish me all the lucks

March 30, 2015 1:01 p.m.

smackder says... #25

KuribohJesus The deck isn't as efficient without the Snow-Covered Island's but it still works a treat. You can use the Snow-Covered Island in modern events and such, but since you can't use them for standard, i suggest actually using 15 foil Zendikar islands instead, just to get that extra edge!
