Sideboard


I do a quick overview here. This deck is meant for nothing more then go for the win as fast as you can. You want this as the opening play if you can:

turn 1: Falkenrath Gorger + Mountain

Just nice easy turn one play nothing to it.

turn 2: land into Heir of Falkenrath  

turn 3: Land into Heir of Falkenrath   discard hitting Incorrigible Youths Casting Youths for madness hit for 9 on turn 3

Turn 4: I would cast anything to get you to 12 dmg. this turn and win. if not hit for another 9 power taking them to 2.

Turn 5: win game with Heir :P

I know this is dream draw etc etc but hey a man can dream right?

More that I test with this deck on here the more and more I see that this deck can win on turn 5 almost every time no matter the draw. Which makes me super happy because I am not sure if you can get much faster then a turn 5 win in the meta maybe I am wrong ( I am most likely am ) but still turn 5 win is good in my book.

Well the deck with tons of feed back now has been change to more of mid-range deck. With the idea of being able to grind out games with if not better then the other decks within standard. On top of of using Kolaghan's Command + Liliana, Heretical Healer to pull things out of the grave. We have the most removal out of any deck in standard right now. So if push comes to shove we can board out everything other than a few fliers and board control them hard.

So I got the deck on MTGO today and I have to say I love it when it works and hate it when it dies out.

I have notice a few things within the 10 or so games I played on MTGO tonight.

1) Pacing of the deck at least on MTGO is all over the place. Some times it be an easy turn 5 kill with my hand. Or other times be it do to variance or just misunderstanding odds the hands were doing nothing.

2) burn is key and king

3) removal of any kind is deadly to us not game over deadly but can really throw off the timing of the deck.

Overall I like where the deck is for what I was thinking of when I started this deck. If I was pressed to give it a grade or rating of some sort I say 4.5 to maybe a 6 out of 10 in terms of power level. Because when the deck moves and runs without any timing problems it will win by turn 5-6 as it should and as I hope for.
