Round 1: 2 - 0 Goblins (Warren Instigator build)
Gutshot in my sideboard was excellent here against the Instigators. Containment Priest made the matchup quite simple as well. Both games had Batterskull doing most of the work.
Round 2: 2 - 1 Jeskai Stoneblade
Nothing notable for this game. Wasted my opponent off of white mana and was able to fly over a TNN the two games I won, and died to it the game I lost. Manriki-Gusari post board was a champ.
Round 3: 2 - 0 BUG Delver
Straightforward games. Dropped a Rest in Peace game 2 to turn off goyfs and deathrites, and slowly attacked with a mom protected spirit of the labryinth and batterskull.
Round 4: 2 - 1 Jeskai Stoneblade
Won game 1 off of a vialed in Spirit of the Labryinth in response to a Brainstorm. Lost game 2 to a TNN with 2 equipment. Game 3 was a race between my Serra Avenger and his TNN, with me ahead by 1 turn. I Cataclysm on 5 mana, and play a Mother of Runes with my floating white to secure the game for me, as he needed a top decked bolt to turn the race in his favor, and missed.
Round 5: Intentional Draw (Jeskai Stoneblade)
Round 6: Intentional Draw (Maverick)
Number 1 Seed for Top 8 (4 - 0 - 2)
Quarterfinals: 1 - 2 Death & Taxes
My approach to the mirror didn't pan out, and my opponent (Jeff Hoogland) had already played the matchup three times that day. I had him at 1 life in game 2, but was unable to draw a way to finish the game before he stabilized with an active Jitte. Misplays from both of us kept it closer than it might have needed to be.
Was trying 3 flickerwisp and 3 revoker this weekend. I did not notice the lack of a 4th revoker, but was often wishing for another flier.
