From the Ashes is a deck filled with cards I love but don't really suit any purpose in any other deck. This deck surprisingly works well despite having no exact synergy in mind. It's really easy to put down cheap equipment such as Skybinder Staff and Accorder's Shield. There are a few early creatures like Soldier of the Pantheon and Flamewright which grant bonuses like life or defender artifact creatures. Creatures start to appear on the battlefield around round 4, but by then you should have a few equipment, artifacts or enchantments already there to buff them up. Accorder's Shield + Firewing Phoenix Turns your 4/2 flying into a 4/5 flying with vigilance. This deck offers a lot of variety in just staying alive and granting bonuses for your creatures, or in multiplayer games, even giving a struggling ally an extra mana to cast his/her spells.

Once you have enough artifacts on the battlefield Kuldotha Phoenix can be returned straight to the battlefield from the graveyard for 4 colourless mana, and better still, if you have 20 artifacts and Hellkite Tyrant is on the battlefield, you instantly win the game.

Failing that though, cards like Archetype of Aggression, Oathsworn Giant, Heliod, God of the Sun, Archetype of Courage, Spear of Heliod, Hammer of Purphoros and Berserkers' Onslaught give your creatures permanent bonuses, while cards like Palisade Giant , Ajani's Presence, Congregate and Coordinated Assault keep you and your creatures alive. Pearl Shard and Elixir of Immortality work the same way and also add to your artifact collection.

As always my decks favour variety over synergy. However I would love to hear your criticisms and feedback. I really do enjoy playing this deck.
