Hello and welcome fellow commander/edh players to my feather deck tech.
Feather, the Redeemed is without any doubt the best commander in Boros colors at the current moment and it is easy to see why. She is a great "build around" commander because her ability is so versatile allowing for many different types of playstyles and subthemes within a single type of deck. So let us go through the most popular and different directions we can go with this deck. The first and most obvious to most is the use of cheap costed spells that replace themselves i.e. "Cantrips." These effects are both bountiful in numbers and cheap in casting cost making casting multiples to gain massive amounts of both card draw and card advantage very easy to achieve and build for anyone on any budget. Reliable card draw has been the bane of both red and white for a long time in commander with red having Looting affects ( Faithless Looting ) and white really being forced to either use cards like Mesa Enchantress or Mentor of the Meek with very specific conditions or artifacts ( Well of Lost Dreams , Howling Mine , etc.). So if Feather, the Redeemed is on the battlefield and we cast Expedite or Defiant Strike we draw a card and get to put those cards back into our hands at the end of each turn to be cast over and over again. While this can easily be abused there are some risks that come with this type of strategy that need to be discussed. Without Feather these types of cards are basically garbage in this format, and putting too many of these into your deck and hinder performance in some situations.

Another potential drawback is that with all this card draw having an unlimited hand size type effect is very important to help keep those cards safely in your hand. So Reliquary Tower , Thought Vessel , Venser's Journal , and Spellbook are all very important cards to consider.

So after we find the right amount of cantrips and we have the extra power of unlimited hand size, what other types of cards should I run?

While I cannot answer that question for everyone I can say that Feather, the Redeemed is far from being a top tier competitive deck for all of the reasons I listed above so don't worry about sticking to a single strategy and consider adding in a lot of different ones to make the deck feel more well rounded and fun to play. Your casting a lot spells each turn so Storm type effects might be really fun to include like Empty the Warrens or Grapeshot , or you can include cards that like it when they are targeted by spell, for example Phalanx Leader or any of the other creatures found in the Theros block that have the "Heroic" ability. Maybe you want to go heavy spellislinger and burn your opponents to death with " Lightning Bolt " like effects with cards like Chandra's Ignition or Aurelia's Fury ? The Answer for me was always a mix of the three with a stronger focus on one element so I chose to focus my efforts around the Heroic mechanic since Theros is arguably my favorite set and plane in magic since it was the set I learned how to magic back when it was in standard in 2011. So with that said lets dive in and take a closer look at the different cards I chose and why.
