Last summer I was gifted a precon from one of our summer interns. He showed some interest in learning how to play EDH. I wanted to return the favor and build him a cheap deck from scratch. After talking about what kind of playstyle and color(s) he might like we wound up with The Scorpion God. While not the easiest deck to learn to play with it is fairly straightforward and he got the hang of it quickly. Please keep in mind that budget was the name of the game here. I built it with cards I had on hand and nothing else. There are some pretty massive upgrades to be had, but all things considered it seems to play well and can be really mean. This deck is posted to garner ideas for folks. It will not be updated or upgraded ever (by me anyway). Thanks for looking!
