I had Monastery Mentor in an earlier iteration, but at $14 apiece I held off. Plus, I'm not sure what I would replace with it. Crackling Doom and Harsh Sustenance are good on their own, but amplified with Howl of the Horde can both be game winners. I sideboarded a full playset of those because if I'm up against a deck of large creatures, I would increase Crackling Doom and against smaller creatures I would replace them with Harsh Sustenance... but maybe I can sideboard a couple Monastery Mentors and use them in place of Crackling Doom when I'm against weenie or aggro to help my speed... but for $14 each it's a hard sell :)

Made some changes and added in some Ride Down and Monastery Mentor. Seems to be performing pretty well.

So I played two headed giant with this deck again last night... and it's just a beast. My partner had two untested decks he played with, and I carried us every game with this deck. Between Ride Down and Crackling Doom I was able to keep both our opponents pretty clear of threats and Impact Tremors for the win. Opponents switched to a pretty good Minotaur deck and Control deck combo, and we still stomped them with me doing almost all the work. This deck is just insane in MP games. The only game we lost was when they managed to get out Berserkers' Onslaught and all minotaur's have trample (forget the card off the top of my head), and I just couldn't match that by myself. Partner had one 6/6 on the board, but against 5 double strike and trample minotaur's, one big creature wasn't enough.

Edited to make this ready for post rotation in October.

Made some more changes for BFZ... and WOW is the Zulaport Cutthroat perfect for this deck! I made some changes to mana and also switched some Utter End into sideboard. Is there anything better than Utter End? 4 cost feels a little high to me for that card in this deck, but I want some exile in the sideboard. I do like that it's non land permanent, so that means enchantments and Planeswalkers as well.

You should look at Mardu Ascendancy here, it goes well with the Zulaport Cutthroat and Impact Tremors

Mardu Ascendancy would be a great card if I didn't have so many tokens entering the battlefield. Only having 8 nontoken creatures in this deck makes it a hard sell. If I had more creatures that generated tokens themselves, maybe I could drop some of the token generating spells and add more creatures. If I did that, I would use it in a heartbeat.

Nice deck. I have a similar one (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/01-12-15-QHd-mardu-tokens/). I wonder if Butcher of the Horde wouldn't help you. I love it in mine. With all the tokens you can sacrifice, Butcher can get out of hand. Usually ends the game by turn six. Also Collateral Damage. I had Descent of the Dragons in mine but wound up cutting it because I almost never got to actually use it. Has it been working for you? Also, how is Ride Down? I haven't tried that. Would love your thoughts on my deck.

I had Butcher of the Horde in the first version of this deck, but how I play this is more defensive actually. I tend to create all of my tokens and use them as defenders, and all my damage is dealt by Impact Tremors and Zulaport Cutthroat. I have thought about Collateral Damage, but decided against it because I like having the defenders, but I may think about it again. Ride Down is a good cheap destroy creature essentially. I have considered replacing it though, because as I mentioned I'm more defensive with this deck normally. The only time I go all out is when I'm up against a deck with trample. Then I use the Ride Down to great effect. I may sideboard them though for some Utter End.
Descent of the Dragons has won me a number of games. I not only use it to trigger Impact Tremors and Zulaport Cutthroat, but also to replace opponent creatures that I don't want on the battlefield. I have used it to VERY good effect. I have found this deck is fun in a dual, but not overly competitive. It does well, but not great. Where this deck shines is in MP. I don't think I've lost a game of MP when I played this deck unless it was due to mana screw.

Monastery mentor most definitely
You have a crap ton of non creature spells, and youll be able to drop down prowess monks a lot with that
