Are you considering new kozilek?

yes but not as a replacement for the old one. mill protection and 4 cards > sometimes more than 4 cards. but the counter spell part is what makes new kozi really interesting for Karn. i mean srsly first i get an instant speed spot removal and now ill get a way to counter spells. damn ;)

...but do NOT ask what im gonna cut for that.. I HAVE NO CLUE /sigh

It also fills your hand ;O quite appealing IMO. Having that counterspell option may prove to be vital. Although after putting so much time into your deck and I know how much you've fine tuned it.. It will def be hard to make cuts. And that's just the first spoiler ;O Are you gonna throw in mirrorpool?

id really like to have mirrorpool in the deck because it sounds like a really cool card. but im not sure if i really need it... i mean its playable as in "copy animated darksteel forge" for example... or as ramp when it copies an animated thran dynamo etc... decisions are so hard lol. the problem is the first ability says "spells you control"... otherwise it would be the best land ever

Personally there's nothing I see so far that I like. New kozilek is pretty blue which I like as a blue mage. But colorless has never really been my thing xD

And all mirrorpool would copy for spells would be Scour from Existence but copying a creature might be worth it? Who knows lol

Quick question, why is Ornate Kanzashi in the sideboard?

cards in the sideboard are combo pieces that hurt the feelings of some whiners in my playgroup (/sigh) too much... and some of them are just not good enough for the deck outside that specific combo... liquimetal coating for example: it is super strong with karn if your playgroup is cool with LD otherwise its useless.

other cards like winter orb are just reaaaaally good with karn but not fun for others. and this is not a french list deck so fun is important. but id recommend playing it if thats not an issue for you ;)

What does Ornate Kanzashi combo with?

Mycosynth Lattice and any infinite mana combo with Volatic Construct

In Pepsi's video it was Voltaic Construct + Thran Dynamo for infinite mana/ untapping artifacts. This would allow Ornate Kanzashi to exile everyone's library. (Karn animated the dynamo)

Is it in one of the videos, i dont even remember ;) anyway you are both correct (of course). Without lattice its exile lib, with lattice its play-all-nonland-permanents from that lib

no real advantage as a wincon. Only if you wanna do the lattice part for the laughs. imo it doesnt really matter what you use because if you already have infinite mana and untap you should already be winning no matter how ;)

yeah Warping Wail, Kozilek, Wastes. maybe mirrorpool but i dont think so, same with sea gate wreckage.

and it made me think about building a 5color superfriends deck.

I think new nissa may have some potential and maybe Oath of Gideon. Overall very dissaointed with what the did to allies :(
