This is my first custom built deck that I wanted to throw out there. If you're a combo player you may already know about the main combo people are playing in standard at the moment Famished Paladin + Sorcerer's Wand + Squire's Devotion . This is my take on how to pull off this combo by combining Dimir's ability surveil and counters. The entire point of this deck is to look through it and draw cards or to counter obstacles your opponent attempts to throw out there.

Dimir informant and Nightveil sprite both surveil and when combined with Enhanced Surveillance allows you to look through even more to get you either the pieces of the puzzle or even some white mana sources you may need. Radical Idea, Chemister's Insight, and Chart a Course all help draw cards and the first two have jump start to draw again. Settle and Luminous bond are thrown in to help not get overwhelmed and deal with creatures that slipped past counters. Which finally leads me to the counters Negate, Essence Scatter, and Sinister Sabotage. Sinister is in my opinion the best counter in standard right now because it counters any spell AND allows you to surveil which helps if you have Enhanced Surveillance out already, but also adding extra counter creature/noncreature spells so you have a better defense.
