If you haven't already, I would take a moment and read this short story from Wizard's of the Coast. It gives great insight into the lore behind the Frog Horror that is.....THE GITROG MONSTER!

My version of the Gitrog Monster is not combo focused like most builds. Instead, it is focused on generating massive amounts of card advantage through playing multiple lands and drawing multiple cards a turn. Cards like Toxic Deluge, Damnation, Dead of Winter and Constant Mists help control the early game giving our engine the time it needs to come online. Once it does, we tend to take over the game by burying our opponents in card advantage
