The main goal of this deck is sacrificing creatures and draining your opponent with Athreos, God of Passage.

Shadowborn Apostle works really well with this commander as a player can take 18 damage while you dig for a demon, or add some back to your hand so you can do it again later.

Edgewalker makes your apostles free to cast, and also creates a semi-infinite loop with apostles, a sac outlet and your commander.

Flesh-Eater Imp can be a game winner if you have some sort of recursion and a creature to sacrifice.

Blood Pet and Enduring Renewal create an infinite loop with Blood Artist or [[Falkenrath Noble]

Pawn of Ulamog, Blood Artist, Falkenrath Noble, Butcher of Malakir, Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker Harvester of Souls, Martyr's Bond, Dictate of Erebos, Grave Pact and Black Market are all cards that benefit your sacrifices, wearing down your opponents at the same time.

There are also a bunch of sac-outlets in the deck, as well as a few board wipes. I'm thinking of going down a route more focused on board wipes seeing as I'm faced with decks that often have a number of creatures on the board.
