This is my take on a "Death & Taxes" style deck led by the new Liesa, Shroud of Dusk from Commander: Legends. The basic strategy is to drain your opponents' life totals with Liesa and cards like Ankh of Mishra , while keeping your life total high enough to outlast your opponents. Finish them off with an Exsanguinate effect once you have whittled their life down low enough. Maintain your own life total by attacking with Liesa or by using effects like Bloodchief's Ascension.

Most of the spells in the deck are black, to take advantage of Jet Medallion , Crypt Ghast , and Cabal Coffers (although Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is still included to maximize these effects). For this reason, there are 19 Swamps and only a few Plains, but it isn't too hard to get necessary white mana, since you never really need more than two white sources in a game. In addition to the 10 white-producing lands, there are quite a few ways to search up lands as well as a couple mana rocks that help with fixing.

It is generally best to just cast your commander as soon as you have 5 mana because it is usually the most effective way to deal your opponents damage. It hurts you too, but lifelink on a 5/5 body helps to negate that. Don't worry about Liesa dying either, since you can always cast her for 5 mana, although it may cost you a few life.
