This deck is built around building smaller vampires up through damage to enemy players and other Vampire buffing creatures like Adaptive Automaton and Lord of Lineage   . The linchpin of Stromkirk Captain giving everything first strike is what makes this deck dangerous topped off by prolific flyers like Falkenrath Marauders and Vampire Nighthawk. I finish off the deck with more build potential in Curse of Stalked Prey/Rakish Heir and target creature removal of Doom Blade and Feast of Blood.

This deck had little answer playing against token decks and some issues with Burn/Control. For those, I sideboarded Black Sun's Zenith, Blood Seeker and Ratchet Bomb. To cope with people nuking my powerful creatures with spells I boarded Duress and Disentomb. To help with indestructible creatures, I added Tragic Slip just for fun.

Ideally, the start for this deck plays as follows:

Turn one: Stromkirk Noble

Turn Two: Curse of Stalked Prey. Swing with the Noble and if not blocked, he builds to a 3/3.

Turn Three: At this point, you can put out a Stromkirk Captain or Adaptive Automaton to make the Noble a 4/4 before swinging. Depending on what blockers your opponent can muster by turn three, you could be swinging for 4 that builds to a 6/6, possibly with First Strike.

Turn Four and beyond: At this point, the flyers will win you the game unless your opponent still has no blockers or removal. The best play I've see is to play Bloodline Keeper   on turn four. That leads in optimally to play an Automaton, Captain, or some other vampire on turn five, then transform into Lord of Lineage   .

Beat deck:bg-gw-lifebond deck played by my girlfriend.

Beat a UB control deck. Duress helped a lot in place of Doom Blade.

Lost twice to the same Green Wolf deck because I had no answer for the combo of Feed the Pack and Tree of Redemption putting out tokens like mad and then being buffed by Immerwolf.

I sideboarded Blood Seeker right after those games. I have every intention of picking up Black Sun's Zenith and Ratchet Bomb so as to ensure that I always have an answer for tokens as my friends seem to like them....
