Took 2nd at FNM with the Bant list: 4-0-1 Round 1:Honestly cant remember, think it went 2/1 Round 2: vs New kid's barely better than draft deck, infinite comboed both games. Round 3: vs Gr Devotion 1/1/1 Game one got him with double archangel and horizon chimera, he was able to stall the board for a few turns with a single stormbreath and got me to 1 with a clan defiance for 8. Guy was super high and we blew ~35-40 minutes on game 1 Game 2 he plays Experiment One on turn 2 and turn 3 he plays Reverent Hunter I respond with Hushwing Gryff so hunter gets 0 counters and experiment one cant evolve. He mortars hushwing and follows with burning tree and another hunter for 5. I eventually succumbed to land flood and he beat me right as time was called. Frustrating slow play, likely would have him game 3 on the play. Round 4: vs Azorius Control 2/0 Game 1 I'm on the play, Turn 1 mystic, turn 2 scooze, turn 3 flashed chimera eot, turn 4 archangel. He tried to quicken for answers and never found verdict. Game 2 he plays all 4 sphinx's revs but never finds verdict. I resolved a 4/4 mistcutter on turn 4 that started bringing the pain and followed with a fathom mage he didnt counter. he tapped out to play elspeth and i play quickling on eot. On my turn i play archangel and trigger with a land from courser to make quickling a 3/3 just in time to put elspeth to 2 so he can't minus and blow up most of my board. His turn he uses his last sphinx for 3 to try and find verdict, He misses and has to settle for countering my chimera eot. Next turn i chord for chimera, have exactly 5 mana to cast archangel from hand (I believe he azorius charmed thune one of the previous turns) a courser trigger sets off the combo and smack him with a 30/30 quickling. Round 5: vs Rabble Red, 2/1
Game 1 he got me on the play, he played 3 rabblemasters back to back and my only draw that mattered was a trade with a flashed in Horizon Chimera
Game 2 he had some fast beats early but i stabilized with Horizon Chimera and 2xNyx-Fleece Ram, Horizon Chimera went unanswered and beat him down for 3 every turn, good thing since i flooded out and kept top decking mystics.
Game 3 we almost drew (I complained to the owners after the match because of slow play, rabble red isn't hard) He got in early beats with foundry street and a rabblemaster, he also top decked removal for both coursers the turn after i played them. Was stuck on my opening 2 land for 5-6 turns, double mystic was my only hope. clung on with a single nyx fleece ram and two chimeras even after he rakdos's returned me for 4 and forced me to discard detention sphere, 2x Chord, and 1 Hushwing Gryff. Went to time on his turn and he was at a healthy 18, draw archangel turn 1, one mana short, swing with chimera puts him to 15 and pass. attacks and blocks on his turn but he passes and I gain 3 life between ram and chimera. Play archangel swing with 2 chimera bring him to 9. On his turn four hes one mana short of being able to animate his 3 mutavaults and play Chandra Pyromaster to ping Archangel so she cant block so he passes. 3 separate life triggers at the beginning of my turn puts 3 counters on my 4 creatures and I win turn 5.
