Well i think you have to exile both Phyrexian Devourer and Synod Sanctum with Myr Welder then you can exile cards from the top of your library using Phyrexian Devourer's ability (since Myr Welder is not Phyrexian Devourer I think it does not get sacrificed when he gets power 7+) then you either swing for 60 damage or you use Synod Sanctum's second abilty which returns all cards exiled with him from the exile to the battlefield. But I feel there's something fuzzy about how the names affect the ability. Maybe you can't get your Myr Welder to power 7 or more ... or you can but you have to use Synod Sanctum right away so you make use of it.

Exactly. My main worry about those is how the names are effected. Basically I'm worried that either I can get to 7+ but not be able to get my exiled cards back, or I can't go over 7 but can get my cards back........Either way it ain't worth it. Synod Sanctum is pretty intriguing though.

This looks like a pretty interesting upgraded build of the C14 red deck. Check out mine if you can Ya'll Daretti for this?. Its a more of a control build then the usual Daretti builds I've seen on the site.

Myr Welder only gains activated abilities so the "sac when over seven" being a triggered ability doesnt carry over and as for Synod Sanctum the official ruling on Myr Welder reads as follows "If an activated ability of a card exiled with Myr Welder references the card it's printed on by name, treat Myr Welder's version of that ability as though it referenced Myr Welder by name instead. For example, if Lux Cannon (which says, in part, "T: Put a charge counter on Lux Cannon.") has been exiled by Myr Welder, Myr Welder has the ability "T: Put a charge counter on Myr Welder." which means you can exile your whole deck with Myr Welder being a Phyrexian Devourer, then as long as you have a Pili-Pala in the deck you can untap and then sacrifice it with the Synod Sanctum more or less casting your whole library for 2 mana, and if you don't win the game off of that I don't know what will, you could aslo have more fun with other activated abilities

Whoa, that is a DISGUSTING combo! The only question now is what should I try to remove so I can add Myr Welder + Phyrexian Devourer + Synod Sanctum with the possible inclusion of Pili-Pala since it makes the combo easier to set off.

It seems you're not opposed to infinite combos, so here are some suggestions:
Add a Prototype Portal for infinite turns with your Ugin's Nexus. For more wholesome portal shenanigans, artifact lands and Unwinding Clock are a fun one.
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and no Zealous Conscripts?!?
I highly recommend Rings of Brighthearth. Works with Daretti and a bunch more of your cards. Maybe even add in a Basalt Monolith for another infinite mana combo, plus it's decent sac fodder if you don't untap it. Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient interacts with about 15 cards in your deck, and might also be a nice addition for doubling up on activated abilities.
Ring of Three Wishes is cheaper than Planar Portal to cast and activate, and you shouldn't need to activate more than 3 times to win. Sometimes that 1 mana can make a difference.
I see you have Jalum Tome. I like Deal Broker for that effect. It's a little slower, but it's free to activate and gives you a blocker.
Oh, and Hellkite Igniter to kill people out of nowhere.
As for some cuts:Liquimetal Coating - Unless there are some sick combos that rely on this, Mycosynth Lattice does this better.
Unstable Obelisk - Nice effect, way too much to activate.
Tuktuk the Explorer - Kind of underwhelming, requires a way to kill him for the token, 1 token limit due to legend rule.
Pilgrim's Eye - The basic land is nice, but you can get that effect cheaper and a 1/1 flyer doesn't matter.
Colossus of Akros - Can it be intimidating? Yes. Are there better reanimation targets. Yes.
Flametongue Kavu - Nice utility, but I don't think Daretti needs this effect. Now if Feldon was the commander...
Ornithopter - I'm going to say right now this is my favorite Magic card of all time. Having said that, unless you really need it for some infinite combo, I would cut it.
Your deck is a bit more creature-focused than mine, which means your Feldon of the Third Path should get more work as well. Overall, I like it!

I'm not quite sure how you're getting infinite turns with Prototype Portal and Ugin's Nexus being as even with the legendary rule killing one without a real artifact sac outlet you can't then you'd have to be running something like Bosh, Iron Golem wait... that's actually pretty solid.... if you have 9 mana open you just win the game after that.

Good catch almalong, I forgot to mention you also need a sac outlet with the Prototype Portal + Ugin's Nexus combo.

Could use a Krark-Clan Stoker instead for sacrificing then Bosh, Iron Golem.
January 18, 2015 8:34 p.m.
those work too, except Bosh, Iron Golem is dealing lots of damage as you take extra turns, so it's a win condition that is less emphasizing the infinite turns

Great take on the deck! I have my own but struggle on the early game protecting Duretti and such. Hows this version early game in terms of speed and card filtering?

Cyberninja16 says... #17
Thank you jonnyalcatraz! I've luckily always had some kind of creature out by no later than turn 3. Since most of my deck wants to be out and about by turn 4 I've rarely had trouble pulling some kinda play in my opening hand. I've only had to mulligan once. However, any deck has the potential to keep you waiting, especially in commander.

Daretti is just awesome, no other mono-red commander is like him. You've got some great combos in here too.
You really, really want Metalworker in here. The amount of mana it gives you is obscene. Having it and Staff of Domination on the board generally means you win. I'd also run All Is Dust, which is a superb boardwipe in Daretti decks. Ashnod's Altar is a great sac outlet that can be used to build more infinite combos. For instance, if you put in Dross Scorpion this would go infinite with Myr Turbine.
I'd strongly consider throwing in Homeward Path because if someone steals your Blightsteel Colossus or Hellkite Tyrant it will really, really suck. Rogue's Passage is a good way to make those two cards even more terrifying, by the way. Also, the Hoard-Smelter Dragon that comes with your deck works very well with indestructible artifacts because it gets the bonus regardless of whether the artifact actually goes to your yard.
Finally, got to disagree with anyone saying you should not run Unstable Obelisk. It's your best friend is someone drops something like Rest in Peace or Leyline of the Void. Dealing with enchantments like these is a big problem for you and anything that can destroy them is invaluable in mono-red.

Thanks for the comment ComradeJim270!
I already have Homeward Path in the deck, because I've met Memnarch and he made Daretti a very sad planeswalker. I will definitely add Rogue's Passage, and Unstable Obelisk into the deck. As for the rest of your suggestions like Dross Scorpion, I don't know what to cut in favor of them.
P.S. I've known about Metalworker for a while it's just a little high for me right now.
August 17, 2015 6:46 p.m.
ComradeJim270 says... #20
Ah, I missed it in the list. And yes, Metalworker is pricy and not likely to go down anytime soon (unless it gets banned, and then you won't need it).
For Ashnod's Altar you might consider cutting Altar of Dementia. It's not as useful outside of its combo and mill in general is a poor strategy in EDH unless you have a way to get a lot of value off of it. If someone has a legendary Eldrazi in their deck the combo won't even accomplish anything. Hellkite Igniter feels a little bit win-more. I'd also drop Tyrant's Familiar: it does not do what this deck wants to.
Noticing your land count is low, how is that working for you?

Cyberninja16 says... #21
We use a one free mulligan rule in our pod, so it tends to work out pretty well, although I did have one game where I was completely mana-screwed. I've also noticed that about Altar of Dementia, so I'll probably make that switch soon.
August 17, 2015 8:29 p.m.
ComradeJim270 says... #22
Most of my groups tend to use that same rule, but I still wouldn't run less than 35 in any EDH deck unless it's unusually low to the ground. With 4.6 average CMC, yours isn't. The fact you're in the worst color for card draw makes the problem worse if you have to mulligan more. I've had good results with 35 in my Daretti deck, but it runs a lot more ramp than this list.
August 17, 2015 8:38 p.m.
Just a small suggestion. The infinite sac combos with the Altar of Dementia are cool but many decks are resilient to mill strategies for having an Eldrazi. I'd replace the Altar of Dementia with Goblin Bombardment or Blasting Station; Both of them provide a sac outlet that can kill the opponent.
August 18, 2015 11:01 a.m.
BTW: Daretti's emblem + Mindslaver + is also a way to fully controla 4player pod :)
August 29, 2015 11:54 a.m.
ComradeJim270 says... #25
You don't even need to do it if you have some mana rocks and Unwinding Clock. That will let you control any number of opponents.

i love the Built for scratch deck. i bought it as well and am in the process of getting the cards for how i want to build it, Daretti for this. what i tried to do was use only combos for the win. i took out all of the beatdown cards, and it is really fun.
here is the link, because apparently someone else had the same name for their Daretti deck. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/17-12-14-daretti-for-this/
