I'd suggest maybe drop Purphoros, God of the Forge and Satyr Firedancer and go for Eidolon of the Great Revel and up the burn count, maybe even through in a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or 2...
February 4, 2015 3:18 p.m.
Even in standard, Eidolon of the Great Revel is a great mainboard card. All you have to worry about it that stupid Utter End and Stoke the Flames...
February 4, 2015 4:49 p.m.
Added a single Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
Dropped Purphy, tried messing around with Eidolon of the Great Revel but always just seemed I would burn myself to much from it. It only seems to work well when Soulfire Grand Master is on board and stays, otherwise I am just running too much low cost burn....

Ok, so now that 17 of your 20 creatures are 2cmc or less, I am going to suggest again that you have at least 2 Return to the Ranks in your SB. Nothing like having your opponent use their turns to cast board wipes and kill spells only to have you resurrect everything they killed.

I really like this so far. Eidolon of the Great Revel is a great sideboard option still against control. He does give you a hard time as well but with the creature amount you run with the lifegain it will be a-okay. Have you tried Hordeling Outburst? It would simply be adding more pressure and aggression. Its usually a 3-1 or saving a board wipe. Also makes Stoke a load easier to abuse.
February 4, 2015 6:49 p.m.
rochdalekilla9 Yeah good call, I think in this version Return to the Ranks can find a home. I would not mind running it mainboard, but not sure what I would drop for it....
JundGrixisNayaBantEsper I like the idea, and I have messed around with it a bit, but everytime I try to make room for it, I just feel like the return on investment is not there.....

Goblin Rabblemaster and Brimaz, King of Oreskos are always options for Red/White tokens too.
February 4, 2015 7:25 p.m.
Hey JediCreed94 Yeah for sure! If I decide to go the Purphoros, God of the Forge route, then I will most certainly be running multiple Rabblemasters and more then likely 2of Brimaz.
In the current build, neither are really required to achieve what the deck is shooting for, but yeah in a Straight Token/Burn shell they do serious work!
Thanks!

Hmmm.. I think I'll build my own brew from this. If you don't mind me copying the deck (to which you will be credited of course). Maybe try and splash blue to make work of the busted 3 drops.

Looks good for now, wonder how it will do...
I still feel that Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx should be added along with Eidolon of the Great Revel to get that double into play for devotion pumping... But this may even work like this. Let us know how you do! :)

I actually liked the mardu build you had set up from earlier. That being said I did try this deck out last FNM at channelFB and went 3-1. Now I didn't have Monastery Mentor in my deck, just because they do cost a pretty penny. I could have ran with the Goblin Rabblemaster route instead but it had only dawned on me after I had completed the tourney. besides that being the obvious miss in the deck it did perform well but I had put my own personal spin on it, especially sideboard. I ran with Arc Lightning as opposed to the Stormbreath Dragon. Having Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker along with Stormbreath Dragon seems redundant. I only had 1 Anger of the Gods main and 1 side. I don't tend to worry too much about jeskai tokens or any token deck for that matter, especially with Arc Lightning. I don't have any board wipes such as Perilous Vault or End Hostilities. Didn't find any need since I play this deck as a control player would, killing off my opponents creatures with burn spells early on to prevent any kind of funny business mid to late game. Valorous Stance rocks this deck hardcore. With the current build I have, I can switch into R/W control after side and my opponents have no idea how to handle it since they go for higher creatures to get out of the range of my burn spells, Valorous Stance just fits so well, along with my 3 Banishing Light and 2 Chained to the Rocks in side.
Long comments are long, but bare with me :) I'm almost done here.
2-0 against U/W heroic. I stopped him from ever getting a creature above 3 toughness. His whole hand was nothing but enchantments by mid game and he started getting desperate when I saw him using Defiant Strike on my own creatures so he could draw extra cards.
2-1 mardu warriors. I lost the first round due to land drought. sided in my Arc Lightning's and stopped his Bloodsoaked Champion and Mardu Woe-Reaper from ever really affecting the game. 3rd round same as the 2nd.
2-1 mardu midrange. first game went to him when he hit the ground running with a Bloodsoaked Champion on turn 1. killing off my Satyr Firedancer with a Magma Jet. turn 3 was a Goblin Rabblemaster followed by a Sorin, Solemn Visitor the next. I didn't stand a chance. after side I shut his entire board down. Chained to the Rocks Valorous Stance and Banishing Light with my Soulfire Grand Master's out along with my Searing Blood. Seeker of the Way carried.
1-2 Abzan midrange. all of my losses were from Siege Rhino that little bit of life reset was frustrating as could be. both my games I had him down to 5 or below life and he'd always manage to top deck them, thus slowing my down. And each game I had Fated Conflagration in hand and was short my 3rd red source.
All in all for a first run it was a good deck. I am very grateful for your deck post so I could build off of it, and perhaps my experience can help with yous.

Thanks for the input Thee_Irishman
I am still in the rebuild stages fo the deck so not sure what the next week will bring. I do like a few of the ideas you mentioned. But it seems you did not see Stormbreath Dragon against you much.... My meta is loaded with Stormbreaths so I need an efficent way to deal with that now that Crackling Doom is out of this build.

Yeah against this deck it is a major pain to deal with. luckily for me the meta around the shops I attend where Stormbreath Dragon is active are very few and far between.

It looks like you made some changes with Brimaz, King of Oreskos and Wingmate Roc going into the main. What prompted that change?

Since you seem to be going tokens, It might be worthwhile to run all the main guys: Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Goblin Rabblemaster, Monastery Mentor and Wingmate Roc. A lot of 3 drops, but Burn takes most of your 2 drop space, so this might even it out a bit...
Of course, it could be not all, just some, which is probably a little less senseless :)
February 11, 2015 7:51 a.m.
Kage-no-Raito I need air control, so Wingmate Roc made an entrance based on that due to the token creation and lifegain it can produce, at the same time, I am not sure if this spot gets taken over by Stormbreath Dragon or not....
DraGonSpell I have been toying with the idea of Brimaz, King of Oreskos Vs Goblin Rabblemaster Vs Monastery Mentor one of these guys are making the cut, still just not sure which one....

I was thinking that Stormbreath Dragon would be better, but if you're running Brimaz, King of Oreskos, the WW Into a 5 drop with RR could be difficult.
Of the three token generators, each have their benefits and setbacks. Mentor's tokens are better. You get a token every turn with Rabblaster. You get vigilance tokens with Brimaz but only if you attack or block. Two out of the three die to any burn, but the same two aren't as mana intensive.
Since you're running mostly red and a lot of instants, I'd go mentor and rabblemaster.

I'm not sure about Rabblemaster. I think Brimaz would probably be worth the mana. He himself has better board presence, as do his tokens, compared to the Goblin fodder. Being able to swing and stay defensive is great for a burn deck like this. Any cat you DO block is one more monk that goes through, and any cat you DON'T block is still a blocker on their turn.
Goblins might be a tad more consistent, but the source is more fragile, and letting a 1/1 through knowing full well the blocking won't be there next turn isn't a hard choice for your opponent to make.

I agree with JediCreed94 that Brimaz is better. If you do choose to go white heavy, you should run Brimaz.
February 11, 2015 9:32 p.m.
Ran this build last night. 2nd place. 3-1 Only loss was 1-2 to U/B Control running Ugin, Crux and Vault along with Tasigur and 25+ Counter/Removal. The only way I win that game is a race. If I can't kill him in the first 5-6 Turns I lose.

How well did Brimaz, King of Oreskos do? I believe Goblin Rabblemaster is better in the more Red-extensive build. He applies more damage and doesn't need any options he automatically produces a 1/1 Goblin. Mentor is good it's just that he dies to easily and won't do anything. Brimaz, King of Oreskos is the fair opposition to Rabbler and those two are rivals in this build. But wouldn't Brimaz a bit hard to cast with double white? I am only wondering how'd he do...
February 18, 2015 7:43 p.m.
He did well, I have the same concerns and have been thinking about Rabbler in place, but he did do work last week in that spot. He is a concern when he hits the board. When I played against tokens he did serious work, Soulfire Grand Master into Anger of the Gods on a board full of tokens, I board wipe, gain a massive amount of life and Brimaz stays on board swinging afterwards.
February 19, 2015 9:21 a.m.
Honestly, I think I may do a straight swap with Goblin Rabblemaster for Wingmate Roc and move the Roc to the SB
