Big Changes —June 27, 2016
A lot of changes lately to make this a little more of a control deck, which is what I intended it to be, but started adding more and more creatures. I added Karn Liberated and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon because you don't get any better control than that when it comes to Walkers, and they both help Black immensely against Enchantment and Artifact Removal (Karn). I main boarded Hex Parasite , and my reason behind that over Vampire Hexmage is that my play group has a nasty Animar player. Helm of Possesion was a sideboard card that is making a main board appearance for obvious reasons - steal someone's big fatty? Sure! I added a couple more board wipes Mutilate + Black Sun's Zenith as well as another mana doubler in Nirkana Revenant. Agent of Erebos is being main boarded because lets face it, people use graveyards in commander pretty often and imo he is the best form of GY removal for Black. I reinserted my infinite mana combo by runnings Rings of Brighthearth again, which also synergizes with several other cards.
I was able to test all these revisions out over the weekend with good results, so this will be the build going forward!
I understand how good Blood artist is, but since you don't have an infinite combo to abuse him, and not very consistent deaths (like 2 to 3 a turn), I think he'll just become a target and you'll have wasted that turn.

Kryzis: Good point on Blood Artist. I've actually been thinking about pulling him out. I've been considering Ghoulcaller Gisa.

Temporal Extortion + Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed + Sheoldred, Whispering One puts a lock on the game. Either you take an extra turn and return Temporal Extortion to your hand to do it again next turn, or someone loses half of their life and you return the card to your hand to do it again next turn. This works with any continual reanimation card in the Sheoldred slot such as Dawn of the Dead, which I recommend playing by the way.
I would also recommend Viscera Seer. A free instant speed sacrifice outlet that improves card quality for only one black is great.
Reiver Demon offers you a one-sided board wipe that you can cast repeatedly thanks to your Commander.
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed helps you abuse strong enter the battlefield triggers such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel over and over. Considering you aren't playing any Planeswalkers you could even consider Thief of Blood to further this strategy. Thief of Blood is a powerful etb effect that kills all opposing Planeswalkers when it enters, hoses opposing +1/+1 decks such as Ghave, Marath, Vorel, etc., and also pulls all the +1/+1 counters off of your creatures so that they may undie with Mikaeus again.
I think Toxic Deluge is just a straight upgrade to Mutilate.
You're playing all of the tutors that I would expect you except for Entomb. 1 black and instant speed is great value.
Venser's Journal + Necropotence is absolutely insane. Provided the Journal survives until your next upkeep you gain all of the life you sank into Necropotence right back.

Can I ask why you're running Mind Shatter instead of Mind Twist?
Please don't tell me that it's because you have the former in foil.

YamishiTheWickedOne: Good point! Changing the name :D
NoOneOfConsequence: Believe it or not, I don't have a copy of Mind Twist, but I should be able to procure one. I have a friend that can proxy foils pretty accurately, so non-foils aren't an issue!
Midwest: Lots of good suggestions...will have to revisit this and reply to all of them later :)
