So I really enjoy the synergy between Archangel of Thune and Nyx-Fleece Ram. This deck abuses archangel and Trostani, Selesnya's Voice . I have played this for a few weeks at FNM with a lgs of mostly aggro and boros burn decks. I was so sick of playing against mindless burn that has almost 0 interaction for the entire match. There are some changes that can be made but there is absolutely no way that you want any less than 4 of archangel, trostani, courser, mana dorks, voice, nyx-fleece ram as they are the staples of the strategy. Brimaz was a new addition as my curve needed to be lower to combat all the Mono black aggro decks that I seem to be getting matched up against. Brimaz is very good against black in general especially the aggro version and also great against devour flesh. If he drops on turn 2 it is such a tempo gain even if they waste a turn killing it he has done his job that turn, allowing you to follow up with more powerful threats one after the other. The match-ups that I have had the most problems with are Mono U and U/W control. These aren't very prevalent where I play but my sb is prepared for them either way. I have had no problems running 22 land as my curve is just above 3 and I have 8 mana dorks and courser. The plays on turns 3-6 with this deck can be just absurd. If they have no board sweep you can pretty much beat every deck in the format's power level, even Pack Rat! As for the sideboard Deicide is an absolute necessity against Erebos and Thassa. Both of these gods are cards you really don't want to see. Master of Waves is a very real problem so I could see adding some number of Last Breath in the board if you expect it. Setessan Tactics is pretty much your only way to efficiently combat some mono u draws. Ajani, Mentor of Heroes is actually very good, both against control, and midrange decks and I can't draw it enough although I am just a fanboy and 2 in the main is probably enough, this could easily be last breath. Rootborn Defenses and Mistcutter Hydra are pretty obvious. I have gone 4-0 3 out of the 4 past weeks playing this and 3-1 in the other. It is a very good deck for an FNM and hope you play it and love it just as much as I do. Let me know if you would make any changes and what they would be. +1 if you like it :-)
