I would try Thoughtseize to make sure you take the good cards out of the opponent's hand.

Master of the Feast is a powerful critter that keeps giving your opponents stuff for you to make them subsequently discard. This is important, because cards like Liliana's Caress , Megrim , and the ever-important and all powerful Waste Not are dependant on your opponents actually having a hand to discard. Furthermore, your discard-inducing cards become at best less effective and at worst useless, if they've no hands. Raven's Crime could definitely be a solid addition, too.

Buckminsterfullerene, thank you for the sugestions, those make good sense. Waste Not isn't mainboard yet only because it's too damn expensive where I'm from, but it's one of those cards that could have a whole deck built around it. I will look into adding the Master of the Feast

Waste Not has such incredible utility in a discard deck, think about main-boarding 1 or 2. IDK about the Vampire Nighthawk , what purpose does it serve in the deck? I like the addition of Master of the Feast . I think I'll put one or two in the deck I'm making. BTW, if you could check that deck out Budget mono black discard (needs help) and give me your thoughts, since we both appear to building something similar that would be awesome.

Waste Not is definitely coming, AwesomeOctopus. The Nighthawks are in because it's what I had in hands, and I needed some punch while the deck lacked some cards, but I've been thinking about taking them off, to be honest.

try a Larceny and Megrim

Thank you, jace-the-nechromage. I tried using Larceny but its heavy cost almost never alowed me to enjoy its benefits. Megim is interesting, but I'm also trying to play lighter with Liliana's Caress.

It's strange that this is labeled as vintage when it is probably modern (without the rituals) and at worse legacy.

Anyway. ... i play something similar in legacy and it's fun when it works but no fun when you can't empty their hand. That all being said, i would recommend the following based on my experiences:

Inquisition of kozilak (sp). It's an incredibly powerful card in a a format dominated by cheap cmc cards. I run 3 and sometimes 4.

Quest for the nihil some is weak at best. It only really works early game when there are things to discard and even then takes a few turns to get rolling. I would say do the 2x and roll with 4x shrieking affliction. It's all around better. There's a reason that the net-deck is labled 8Rack (4 racks and 4 affliction).

Ensnaring Bridge is a powerhouse at sitting down your opponents ground game. It's also kinds of expensive so probably won't fit in a budget version. Never the less i would highly recommend it.

Obviously lilliana (veil). Seeing as she's running around $87-90 a pop right now i might suggest Necrogen Mists as a cheap alternative.

I can't even describe how good Raven's Crime is. And it's cheap at like 50 cents a piece. A playset is a must imo. I think thoughtseize was mentioned earlier. I would recommend 2. Any more and you're just pinging yourself too much.

Finally 4x dark rits. Maybe 3, but is only really a powerhouse if you get it in the opening draw. You want as high a chance as possible.

I am currently trying to make use of Duress, once I see how it works I will post the results here.As for the Inquisition, it might be a good addition, but it's too expensive and I don't have a single one lol. Maybe in the future, who knows
