Charming Ramos

Commander / EDH

birdlover

This deck isn't a genuine or new idea. Only my version of this build. Ramos is the best general for multicoloured spells. So it's obvious to use the cheap 3 colour charms and commands from Tarkir.

If Ramos stays on the board for a decent time he gets big quiet fast. Either you can one shot an opponent with commander damage. Or use those win the game cards like Door to nothingness or Mayael's Aria.

Main problem with the strategy is that - 1. you're very dependant on your gerneral. This means protect him with any means (lightning greaves, Darksteel plate, the boots, counterspells). He gets very costly fast. Also other players notice quick that they can shut down your deck with a single removal spell. - 2. with all those charms you can't play an active role in the game. You'll have to wait till an opponent does something. Then you can react. Somewhat a random control play. Which brings me to - 3. generally you have every answer for any board state in your deck with those charms and commands. But it's quiet difficult to have them on your hand on the right time.

So this deck is very hard to play especially in a more competitive environment. Like my play group. That's why I choose to play this expensive mana base. To level out a bit. I like playing magic the hard mode.
