Sideboard

So this is my recent deck for standard.

Before rotation I played Esper Dragons and that's also what I actually wanted to play originally. But it proved to be very painful with cards like Read the Bones, Painful Truths and Anguished Unmaking. Later, at the PT SoI I saw Seth Manfield's Esper Planeswalker deck and was very excited about it and used it as an inspiration.

Due to the missing of Dig Through Time, control decks lack of good card draw spells. Read the Bones and Painful Truths cost life and sorcery speed is not very exciting, Dragonlord's Prerogative is too expensive to play it as a 4-of. So the Planeswalkers are doing the Job. Ob Nixilis Reignited seems to me the best of the three since its emblem is just ridiculously strong.

I don't really like Ultimate Price in the meta right now and decided to play 2 of them and not 4 like in Seth Manfield's list, and I am also not a friend of Spell Shrivel and play Clash of Wills , since it can be important to counter on turn 2 and Spell Shrivel is just dead in late game, and games will go late. In addition to that I cut a land, went without Dark Petition and added three creatures to the mainboard, Dragonlord Ojutai , Dragonlord Silumgar and Linvala, the Preserver. All of them are almost always two for ones and it is protection against Infinite Obliteration.

Today I won the SoI gameday at my local game store with that list. Everything went fine, I did not lost one match, and Languish is definitely my card of the day.
