Maybeboard

I decided to change how the decklist and description of this deck will lay out. Any old cards rotated out of the deck will be in the maybe board so that old combos and inclusions can still be found. Without further ado I give you Meren Shenanigans. I've put a lot of time and thought into this deck (also some healthy respect for my wallet). So here we go. I'd like to start by addressing the infinite combo in the deck.Thornbite Staff with either Hell's Caretaker or Whisper, Blood Liturgist will go into infinite reanimation (noted that Desecrated Tomb or Gutter Grime is required for the second option). My favorite targets for the combo are alternating Noxious Gearhulk and Terastodon. The elephant turns non killable permanents like pesky artifacts or lands into killable creatures. The Gearhulk will take care of these 3/3s and gain loads of life in the process. Feel free to look over the now empty board save hexproof, shroud, or indestructible permanents. For creatures with good evasion to targeting or destroying, I recommend one of my "Unholy Trinity" comprised of Fleshbag Marauder, Merciless Executioner, and the new addition Plaguecrafter. These three will easily kill any creatures deemed unkilllable by conventional standards. Savra, Queen of the Golgari also removes hard to kill creatures if you have the board state to support her (which is more often than not pretty likely). While killing an enemy with brute force from these resurrected baddies is always viable, there are some key wincons that make opponent removal more viable. Kessig Cagebreakers will spawn an army of wolves for sac fodder and lots of damage. Using Mirrorpool on this guy will not go unrewarded. Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord will take your big fatties and kill your opponents without having to attack, avoiding problems with Propaganda and Sphere of Safety. Altar of Dementia is a viable way to mill an opponent. I've done this on several accounts. If you haven't noticed, reanimation requires sacrifice. Thus Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest will buff up your team in no time. I've also evolved the deck to rely less on the commander, thus surviving while Meren of Clan Nel Toth isn't in play. Oversold Cemetery and Tortured Existence will allow you back important creatures without experience counters or your commander. All in all the deck is pretty fun to pilot and can become extremely difficult to contain. The deck plays slowly at first and is meant to go under the radar until you can start pumping out threats quickly. You can use your kill spells and creature control aspect to keep politics in your favor until the machine starts churning. Or Kraul Foragers will give you some extra HP while you hide behind Stinkweed Imp. People respect the imp knowing it will kill whatever you swing with...it will come back...and you probably wanted those five cards in your yard anyway. Dredge is a big part of this deck and the decks focus is to build up the graveyard. I usually turn to my graveyard for answers before my hand in any matchup. This newest edition of the deck adds in another combo that goes infinite. Phyrexian Altar and Pitiless Plunderer will generate Mana by killing creatures. Used with Demon of Dark Schemes and Izoni, Thousand-Eyed, the board loses control very quickly. The deck has so many ways to pump the yard to give Demon targets that you'll soon be able to grab a win con. Lotleth Giant recurred a million times is hard for people to deal with. This version of the deck tries to assemble.combo quickly and under the radar. Make sure to not drop one of the managers fixers until you are sure you can combo out that turn. People will make sure you can't if you don't. The best part is counterspells don't interfere with the deck since it's all graveyard play in the first place. Hope all enjoy and feel free to leave any comments.
