This deck was based on Lava Axe, as it's one of my favorite flavor texts. I think my friend casually mentioned I'd make a deck about anything.. and here we are.

Main win condition is of course Lava Axe. There are damage doublers/triplers/copy effects to (try very very hard) to make it more useful.

Garth One-Eye was chosen as the commander so that we have all colors, it can get Lava Axe back frequently with Regrowth... along with everything else he does like ramp, removal, and draw. A few blinking and haste effects are added to make sure Garth can make Black Lotus often, as that will help us cast those large mana costing enchantments like Fiery Emancipation.

Added some protection like Ghostly Prison because we'll be sitting ducks most of the time, so need a deterrent somehow.

Near the end of this, I decided to add in some group slug elements like Spiteful Visions and Roiling Vortex, as that will help us get them within Lava Axe range. Especially if we have our damage increasers out.

And a few tutors to try and make sure we get that axe!

Also... Lava Axe + Imodane, the Pyrohammer + Fiery Emancipation
