So this is my take on modern delver. With the new card monastery mentor being released in Fate Reforged I thought it was the perfect card to merge the current delver deck with a more burn based deck. The sideboard is set up to deal with Splinter Twin, Scapeshift, Tron, Pyromancer's Ascension and Jeskai Ascendancy.
Counterflux: Can stop a massive Grapeshot from a Storm deck
Ghost Quarter: Can deal with annoying lands like Gavony Township, Valakut, or any of the Urza lands.
Surgical Extraction: Stops graveyard based cards or can easily just target a card you know they probably would run 4 of like Lightning Bolt
Ethereal Haze: This is an unusual addition to stop combo decks like Splinter Twin or Jeskai Ascendancy that rely on creatures with infinite attack to kill you but those creatures only last for one turn so this card effectively nullifies their combo and they are unlikely to be able to combo off again.
Annul: Counters Bitterblossom, Jeskai Ascendancy, Splinter Twin, and Pyromancer's Ascension just to name a few.
Boros Charm: saves your team from a board wipe or could be used to finish off the opponent.
