Just a suggestion, Mindswipe would be very impressive. I played against a deck like yours.Me: Goblin Rabblemaster? Her: Ummm.... Mindswipe for 15 damage.Me: crumbles on floor

Crovax the Cursed yeah, I've considered a fourth main board copy of anger for that reason, but I think I like where I'm at.
NachoEnder7 man, how long was that game? She cast Mindswipe using 17 mana?! Or was that an exaggeration... Anyway, I like the spell, but I don't think it's quite reliable enough, especially if I want to do other things while still having mana available for counter magic.

Perhaps Stoke the Flames could find a place here. You may not have a lot of creatures in the deck but Elspeth, Sun's Champion makes an ass load of creatures for that convoke, making Stoke the Flames possibly cheaper for more damage.

SevynnthDimension Yeah I thought about Stoke the Flames, and I would love the extra point of damage if I had creatures more often. I think Stoke is a great card, but it's better suited for Jeskai Token type builds that can cast it for free and untap all their creatures afterward.

Quick thought, perhaps 1 copy of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon in here? I think he's extremely strong and could finish the gam on his own. And don't say that he's too difficult to get out into the field because Pearl Lake Ancient's a drop and Ugin's only more. Like I said just a thought, he's a great finisher.
Good luck with this build Willis, I'm liking it so far

I really love Ugin, the Spirit Dragon as well. He's quite the walker, and I'd love to put him in, but I'm a bit conflicted. He is certainly quite powerful, but I think adding him here would be unnecessary, just because I already have the finishers I need. But the question is, does he do a better job than the finishers I have? It seems to me that Ugin himself would not be killing my opponent, whereas Pearl Lake Ancient is hitting my opponent for 6 or more each turn after I play him, while dodging removal AND countermagic. Also Elspeth, Sun's Champion can come out two turns earlier, which is equivalent to a potential 9 tokens and a 7-loyalty Elspeth, so... Maybe if there's nothing better after the standard shift? It's just, my stomach turns thinking of all the bad scenarios that wouldn't happen with Ancient.
Imagine this:
Me: Tap out for Ugin
Opponent: Disdainful Stroke
Me: I scoop

I was thinking lately and perhaps some Monastery Mentor could be good for this deck. Put him down early then you're commanding an army of 1/1 prowess creatures by mid-late game. I honestly think you should try finding a spot for at least 2-3 of him.

SevynnthDimension But Anger of the Gods... I know I plan on using Soulfire Grand Master, but that's a bit different, because if anger is worth using while I have SGM, then I'll be gaining enough life to make it worth losing the thing.
