Maybeboard

Here's what I've done with all my quarantine time--put together this bargin version of deck based on a few other lists out there. Basic idea--take all those little red cantrips you never see in EDH and break them. Get a few small creatures out, stick your commander on the board long enough to cast something, then start copying everything. Alot. So a "give target creature +1/+1 and draw a card spell" for one mana becomes a team pump spell that draws you 5 or 10 cards. All those cards let you cast some more cheap cantrips, and by the time you swing in, all those 1/1 goblins and elementals are now 7/7 tramplers with double strike. The deck also has built in ways to keep the stormy goodness flowing with mana generators. Note that most of the ramp in this deck is creature based--they give you more copies of your spells, plus you have a few effects that untap them (to let you make more mana). You have mana geyser, inner fire, and steam-kin. And for most of these effects, it doesn't even matter if you are up against a control deck--once you get your commander out, a standard counterspell will only hit the original cast--all the copies will be on the stack before the counterspell hits. I may try to shift some of the sorceries to instants to make it even more resistant to interruption--even if they try to remove your commander, you can pile on the storm before it takes effect.

Aside from the obvious face-smashing, other ways to win include Aetherflux Reservoir, the Dualcaster Mage combos (twinflame or heat shimmer) to make infinite tokens, and burn at the stake. One card I saw on another list and loved was Reality Scramble. Cast it on your commander and it will tuck your entire board in to your deck, which initially sounds bad. But the deck runs 24 creatures. If you have at least 24 on the board (with lots of ways to make tokens, not out of the question), you can use this to pull out every creature in your deck. Even if you have your commander, you can return him to the command zone (to recast) while pulling out X other creatures, many of which give you more tokens when they show up at the party.

As for the cost in the header, TCG pricing shows it a bit higher, but if you actually try to buy it with real, played cards, you can do it for ~$30.

Well, give me your thoughts. I've gold-fished this a little, but I can't actually play it with real humans now, since we need to be 6 ft apart. Suggestions?
