Take out stomping ground and boros foundry, and you need to add avacyns pilgrim and arbor elf for ramp

Stomping Ground and Sacred Foundry are both very important to this deck to play Kessig Wolf Run . Without them this deck would lose momentum, Avacyn's Pilgrim and Arbor Elf don't give the utility needed for this deck that cards like Deathrite Shaman or Selesnya Keyrune do. If we learned anything from past decks its that cards in the graveyard can be just as deadly as cards in the hand, and that mass creature wipes happen often so artifacts or lands that counter this effect are more then troublesome for opponents prepared only for creatures.

ApocryphalSaint I think you mean Supreme Verdict , and since we are on that note, you are neglecting to deal with Obzedat, Ghost Council . Both Dreadbore and Supreme Verdict can only be cast on your turn without the help of an Alchemist's Refuge .

Lol thanks for answering all the posts for me Armored_Anthrax. Everything you said is correct though, not much more to say

I'm not sure why this deck beats any of the top formats in the meta, or if they just dont play them where you play. Where I play the top 16 players are all seasoned players with 900 dollar decks. I'm not trying to slam you but 117 upvotes seems high for such a simple build and idea.

With deck building as with martial arts. The basics are best for any situation.

True but it dosnt seem hard to get a blasphemous act reckoner combo on or a reverberate token hellrider or supreme verdict or terminus screw on.

Blasphemous Act + Boros Reckoner might work, and then it might not, this decks best feature is its tough to kill nature. By the time you can pull that combo off it could at 30 + life. Its not a perfect system but the parts of the deck that work seem to work around simple one card attacks and it also seems to have explosive life gain qualities that render board wipes meaningless in even the best scenarios. Obzedat, Ghost Council , Selesnya Keyrune and Thragtusk are all very difficult to deal with in the event of a board wipe. not to mention that if you focus on killing creatures you are ignoring the planeswalkers. I think the best bet to deal with this deck is Devastation Tide + Rakdos's Return eliminating all tokens and planeswalkers at the same time, but again we see that Thragtusk and Obzedat, Ghost Council survive and even thrive against this sort of attack. However it may give you the opportunity to reduce the damage you take and allow for you to deal the damage you need to deal to get the win, its difficult to say beyond just trying it when the time comes.

yES if you are playing black blue red or any combo of those two. But remember RDW types carrying blasph act and 3 cost reckoner wanna kill you by thier turn 5 before you can stabilize and run stuff like skullcrack.

Haha nice debate going on here. This deck has been successful due to it's ability to play in any phase of the game. It has been on here and constantly changing since before the release of M13, hence why it has so many upvotes. During early game I can use Deathrite Shaman and get rid of early threats with Orzhov Charm and Abrupt Decay while ramping using Farseek and Selesnya Keyrune . Then I start dropping threats. Due to the constant threats that appear the opponent just doesn't have enough to remove all of them, and I eventually break through usually using Kessig Wolf Run . Sorin, Lord of Innistrad paired with Lingering Souls can be it's own win con, and Garruk, Primal Hunter refills my hand.

Id suggest keeping keyrunes, but changing it from selesyna to Rakdos Keyrune . Still does everything you mentioned before about dodging removal, still kills toughness 3 or less creatures (only difference here is that yours would live in there matchups) AND allows you to use Kessig Wolf Run without those added dual lands that you could swap for more useful duals.

I've never really thought about changing which keyrune I use. However, I would still have to keep the duals in because otherwise I couldn't animate the keyrune. I'm also not really sure how much producing b/r would help this deck, especially compared to g/w. I'll playtest with it for sure

I don't mean to be annoying or anything, but I'd like some people to check out my G/W tokens deck, Prototype Tokens/Ramp/Angels (Suggestions Welcome). It goes for a more flying-token-oriented approach. It would really help me out if anybody gave me some suggestions.

I'd suggest (1) less Deathrite Shaman and (1) more Lingering Souls

Really? What's your reasoning for that? Deathrite is just so good

man I luv this deck. I just used it as an inspiration for my new green-white-black aggro deck that I started running in my local FNM.

I have not considered Deadbridge Chant but it seems pretty cool, although I'm more likely to splash for Sire Of Insanity to be honest.

I think your biggest issue is that you're running 16 shock-lands. Tone it down a bit; if you play against Blitz, you're just killing yourself.

You're right. I'll play around with the lands. Maybe make my Stomping Ground s into Rootbound Crag s?
May 15, 2013 1:59 p.m.
I think I'd remove Godless Shrine . You'll never need turn-1 White or Black, but having turn-1 Green (more importantly, a Forest) is what you need most.

You're right. That seems odd in a deck that runs so much white and black but I can't argue your reasoning. Thanks for the help

So i see a deck that jsut took the most op cards in your colors and put them in a deck and then patched the synergy together. . . and it looks GREAT! but....Dreadbore and Supreme Justice or any other board wipe completely wrecks this deck....
