why not play around with Rise from the Grave it seems like in our last FNM someone was giving you trouble with it. also I think ramp would be good for this deck, you can get those Angel of Serenity s and Thragtusk s out faster. Which would really help you against red deck and blitz

Awesome decks, works like a charm. Had to prox Lilianas because they are expensive as hell in my area. Could you please give me some advice on a cheper alternative? Sorry for not being constructive, just like the deck and would like to play it at fnm at some ocassion.
Thanks in advance!

Lili isn't exactly necessary in this deck. Do you have the land base? If not a cheaper way to do it would be to cut out the red. Deathrite Shaman can be replaced with Avacyn's Pilgrim if needed. Angel of Serenity is pretty important but if you can't afford it Fiend Hunter does a decent job. Craterhoof Behemoth is a good card in here as well. Hope this helps

I haven't really had a problem against control. The best card against control is Sire Of Insanity . I make sure to definitely side in both every time I play against control

Fun hybrid Reanimator to test against but I ran into alot of easy wins due to white mana issues on Making the most of your graveyard

Hello,
every single deck I see with Boros Reckoner at my local meta, also plays with Blasphemous Act for the 13damage combo...
it's not only a great kill move, it's also very psicological. when your opponent sees a Boros Reckoner on your side, he'll start to get paranoid and will shit his pants if you lower his HP to 13 or less.
so, my suggestion for you is:
-1 Mulch

I wanna build this but I can't afford lillies but I have almost everything else, what do you suggest as a cheaper alternative?

Lilis aren't exactly necessary in this deck. I would suggest filling the spot with another 3-drop removal like Fiend Hunter . Maybe 2 hunters and another Mulch to fill out the playset

Any reason why Angel of Serenity was excluded? I think it would be better over Lord of the Void , but we all know aggro is pretty dominant the first month or so of a new rotation, so in the coming weeks of increased aggro I do I agree with the demon over angel. Maybe think about putting the angel in once standard has settled down?Anyhow, like the deck! +1

No Rescue from the Underworld ? It's kind of like the new rites. And that Ashen Rider looks amazing.

@CallMeCrazy ikr, sac the rider to the rescue, nuke some crap!

Angel of Serenity was excluded because the creatures I exile will return to the owners' hand after she gets exiled by Whip of Erebos . I was really on the fence about her but decided that Shadowborn Demon is better. Rescue from the Underworld is much worse that Unburial Rites . The combo with it and Ashen Rider is cool but I just don't see it getting pulled off consistently. In order to use the combo you must have Ashen Rider on the field and with it's mana cost I just don't see that happening. Maybe I could reanimate it but if I use the whip then I only have one turn and need 9 mana and otherwise I need two Rescue from the Underworld . I'll test the combo out though. Thanks for the suggestions

4 anger of the gods and 3 -2 -2 spells, i think is too much, those spells would be nice against aggro but if you play against a midrange or something with bigger creatures they will be useless, i think 3 or 4 are alright, maybe 3 angers of the god and 1 -2-2 main deck or vice versa, or 2 and 2 dont know but 7 is too much. You can put other removals like mizzium mortals or doom blade

I would recommend Bile Blight instead of pharikas cure, its much heavier removal. Or, if you like life gain. sideboard it. But taking out an entire army of tokens/aggro mob sounds pretty good to me!!

This is a very strong deck, I think I might be running something similar...

Pharika's Cure is used to recover the lost life from Thoughtseize . Often against aggro decks I need the life gain to stay alive. Also there aren't currently a lot of token producing cards in standard beside Master of Waves , which Cure will destroy anyway.
