Solidarity of Heroes could be a thing, you get to keep the counters, use it at instant speed for your combat tricks and target more than one creature if you want to. Bramblewood Paragon and Tuskguard Captain give your hydras trample but do commit the heinous crime of not actually being hydras themselves. Considering how big your dudes are you could chuck in a Spinerock Knoll with your Mosswort Bridge.

I also run this as my commander, a few things i found to have been quite nasty on the field have been combos with Vigor , Xenagos-Plainswalker, Mycoloth
For me this worked as a working damage engine and creature output. If i could i would have a few 1/1 creatures to toss at Mycoloth as he came out, I liked it best if he could start out with sacrificing at least five 1/1 creatures equaling a total of ten +1/+1 counters on him. At this point you could wait for his ability to kick in or throw out Vigor
Once these two entered the battlefield I was almost instantly attacked. Using the combo with the general you could get a huge counter bonus because of Mycoloth pumping out creatures onto the field. Use xenagos +1 ability to give yourself a major mana advantage; then using the general you can then deal damage to pesky creatures on the field and clear the way, you could also "damage" your own creatures and make them gigantic using Vigor.
Mycoloth getting pumped by Vigor to fuel xenagos to give you the mana to continue casting ulasht to give an onslaught of damage.....
I shall be updating my new version of my deck soon, please check it out. I really like how this one was constructed.

Been wanting to make a hydra deck for a long time, had no idea Ulasht existed though, thought I was gonna have to play protogentius. Very cool.
I'd suggest putting a beast within in, doesn't get any better for G/R removal.

Redonk I'll look into putting beast within. I've been looking for removal. Thanks. But really I love this deck so much. It's slow but really fun with my friends playing EDH. I love that it's only 300 witch was really do-able for me. But I really have to thank all the people that commented like you and showed me how to make this deck what it is really.

Redonk Two suggestions one you should put an Akroma's Memorial in there to take out creatures with flying so you can have flying Hydra's with lifelink, trample,.... you get the point. I also love hydra cards but if you just want to be mean to a player one of my favorite combos is to put out Phyrexian Hydra + Ring of Kalonia so not only can you attack there life but Infect comes into play to.
