This is a casual budget deck focusing mainly on massive lifegain in early game, which turns into board control and whittling down the opponent's health after around the 4th turn. It wont win any tournaments, but it holds up quite well, and it's quite the versatile deck. A decent deck for starting players or casual players that want a bit more punch for a decent price.

My idea is to get a solid defense up early game via counters and abilities (Ajani's Pridemate + quick lifegain cards like Lone Missionary and friends are a good example of that) and then spamming lifegain while slowly but steadily whittling down the health of my opponent(s). A lategame wincon is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond, but usually you have the Chalice of Death   up and running by then that is bound to kill off most opponents quickly. With some luck you end up beating your opponents while still having 40+ health yourself.

The deck has a bit of a weak spot against creature removal and indestructible creatures, but perhaps a clever sideboard can help patch that up. I just haven't found the time to think of some prevention for that
