Maybeboard

-Ranger of Eos, Ranger-Captain of Eos, Recruiter of the Guard These cards can find Walking Ballista, Triskelion, or a good hatebear.

-Inventors' Fair and Enlightened Tutor These cards can find Walking Ballista, Triskelion, a good rock or an important one of our artifact hate cards.

This deck can win through combat damages with big beaters like Serra Ascendant and Luminarch Ascension. Small hatebears like allow us to play a strong tempo game and kill players that are preventing us from winning with Null Rod and Cursed Totem when we don't have removal.

With no further ado, here are some of the worst best cards that fell just short of the cut line, and some honorable mentions that didn’t even make it to paper testing.

  • Skullclamp This card is to much of a build around and ultimately makes your deck worse. The creatures with one toughness we almost always want to keep around and not sacrifice for two cards.
  • Aether Vial This card is really good in your opening hand with a good curve but if your hand is anything less than amazing or if you draw this late it is horrible.
  • Dawn of Hope Ultimately this card is to slow, and we don't want to add bad cards to make a bad card a little better.
  • Open the Armory, Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift there are some very good equipment cards in this deck like Umezawa's Jitte and Mask of Memory but tutors that don't tutor for Walking Ballista aren't worth it in this deck.
