@westonawhite and Squirrel_of_War I do really like Grisly Salvage, but I haven't had any success splashing colors in this deck. I think I'd just like to keep it two colors. Some of those cards are expensive anyway. You can totally use Essence Harvest and Necrotic Ooze if you build the deck yourself, but I don't think it needs anymore win cons. I do have to update the deck soon, but I don't have time!

Simulating hands I feel like this deck should have at least 2 more forests because I get much better early combo consistency if I add 2-4 forests.

If I was sticking to basic lands I would probably add 4 forests, because the most common mulligan in your deck as posted is drawing no forest for the turn 1 elf. If going off budget with fetches and shocks then 16-18 lands seems to work fine, but there is a beauty in itself to keeping it budget. :)

I think a cool solution to this problem, if you want to keep the land count down to 16 with only basics, is running Elves of Deep Shadow instead of Elvish Mystic with 11 forest and 5 swamps. They can be used to mana fix black and produce green mana with a Joraga Treespeaker out. That should give you quite a bit more turn 1 forest + ramp dude consistency, and it actually increases your black mana sources by 1 too, win win.
