Welcome to 4-color spirit tribal, also known as "Kamigawa Sealed." This deck is absolutely stupid and I love it. It's also budget as hell, which makes me love it even more.
The core of this deck is the infamous trio of Elder Pine of Jukai, Petalmane Baku and Thief of Hope (the last was reprinted as a common in modern masters). Elder pine will draw you a stupid amount of land cards, given that every single card in our deck is either a spirit or arcane. It is not uncommon to discard extra lands on your end step in the mid-game. Similarly, petalmane will not only generate a stupid amount of mana, it will also manafix to help us cast all our cards. Thief, meanwhile, is our primary win condition. When we cast enough spirits our opponent straight-up dies. Nice!
Supporting the trio are a slew of arcane spells which power up the engines of our ghost-machine. Ethereal Haze is a great stall card, and at one mana is perfect for splicing with Spiritual Visit for swarming purposes or Horobi's Whisper for removal. Our graveyard usually has at least four cards in it, so paying the whisper's splice cost is rarely an issue. We've also got Kodama's Reach for more manafixing and deckthinning, and our singular blue card, Ribbons of the Reikai to draw cards off of our growing spirit swarm.
Waxmane Baku and Kodama's Might are our other decent wincons, and Unearth is here because it recurs most of our creatures from the graveyard.
Hana Kami, meanwhile, is this deck's hidden allstar (also reprinted at common, praise the Wizards). It can sacrifice itself to recur Ethereal Haze when you most need it, fish back Kodama's Might to combo off, and more. Also, since its a one-drop, it will return to your hand from the grave if either your Elder Pine of Jukai or Thief of Hope meet an untimely end. Watch the joy drain from your opponent's face as you repeatedly bring back Hana and Haze to fog them turn after turn. Glorious!
Now, the lands. There are eight cycle lands here, all extremely useful when used in tandem with Elder Pine of Jukai. Rather than just flood your hand with basics, Elder Pine's sifting can net you lots of actual cards. Also, the cyclers fill up your graveyard to be used as fodder for Horobi's Whisper. We run only one island because, despite running a pair of blue spells, Petalmane Baku manafixes and good lord do we sift/search through our lands anyway.
Speaking of the whisper, be sure to prioritize your cards in this order so you don't exile useful things: Haze, Ribbons, Hana, Visit/Whisper, other creatures, other spells, lands. Remember, this deck has a decent amount of recursion via Hana Kami and soulshift! Don't be a dummy and banish what may rise again!
Now go, and play spirits as they were meant to be played! Show your opponents the true power of Kamigawa limited!
