Scion of the Ur-Dragon is mainly used to put dragon creatures into the graveyard for a cheap cost. He also provides a 5 color mana base.

I like to start by putting all of my 6 drop dragons into the grave and then immortal servitude'ing them all back at once.

And, if in the previous turns, you reanimated Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund, turn 9 may be a win because they all come in with haste.

There are enough tutors in here to allow you to have very consistent games.
