What would an ideal hand be? Not the best but what you want to typically have.

This deck is completely awesome! Got 2nd place on last Friday Night. The first one was mono blue devotion. The only thing I've changed it's 4x Predator's Strike for 4x Rancor . Usually if you not win by turn 5 I'ts dead end.

what would be a good sideboard for this deck?

bobbth says... #4

this deck is pretty hard to sideboard because you often want to just pray that your opponent hasn't got any removal, that said if I were to build a sideboard I'd start with something like:

4 Nature's Claim ,2 Ranger's Guile ,4 Dismember ,3 Relic of Progenitus ,2 Wild Defiance ,

I've been playing a variation of this deck since it was standard legal, and let me tell you Assault Strobe get's the job done.

Oh, one more thing! Will you put Invigorate back into the deck list?

Just curious.

Hey, guys. Can somebody recommend a sideboard for this deck, I'm thinking of running some Gut Shot and maybe for casual play a few Mental Misstep What do you guys think?

@YourNewRuler

I have to say, this deck isn't too reactive, so I wouldn't include any countermagic or burn. My guess would be things like Phytoburst or Might of Old Krosa , in case of something like Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir , or the above mentioned Wild Defiance for longer games. Also, if you really want creature removal, Dismember would be the way to go. Finally, a good idea would be to take out five forests mainboard for 4x Inkmoth Nexus , if you can afford it, and 1x Pendelhaven , which shouldn't be too expensive, then the 4x Predator's Strike s for 4x Rancor , which are much more reliable.

Hope that helped.

Blighted Agent would be good here, IF the U was phyrexian U. Then you wouldn't even have to splash any blue. Sigh, oh well.

I can suggest Llanowar Augur ;) it is really very cheap and strong card for this type of deck!

DH_Cell says... #16

why dont you put +4 Sejiri Steppe and take off -2 Apostle's Blessing and -2 Forest ?

March 23, 2014 5:53 p.m.

prihodaj says... #17

It is easy, you cannot cast it during opponents turn ;) and white mana is completelly useless in this deck!

DH_Cell says... #18

I agree with u when u say that Llanowar Augur is effective. If u dont start the game with Glistener Elf u save mana for later

I think I might splash blue for Blighted Agent any suggestions on cheap blue/green dual lands?

I've been using Breeding Pool s (about $10 currently) and Hinterland Harbor s (about $5 currently). I've also splashed red for Ghor-Clan Rampager for the +4/+4 trample out of nowhere. Also gives me a bigger creature incase they have a way to turn off infect damage.

This deck got me started on my own Infect deck Does this look Infected?.Hilarious bang for the bugs!

As a lot of people suggested Rancor is the one card that will transform this deck from good to awesome (especially vs. Weenies).

well i'm kinda new to this what happens if you play a giant growth on your infect creature and you are facing a green deckdoes using apostle's blessing work as in if i use it on my creature that has been giant growthed and protection from green?

May 20, 2014 5:08 p.m.

prihodaj says... #24

1st on stag Giant growth, 2nd on stag Apostles blessing = Infect creature is pumped and and cannot be blocked by green creatures ;) If you cast blessing 1st, you cannot pump it by green spell afterwards! Is it clear? I you will not understand it, write on my profile
