You are welcome ;)

I might suggest adding in 2 or 4 Corpse Cur so that you can bring back Necropede or Ichorclaw Myr. Glistner Elf is awesome, but would not be a "need to bring back" creature, and your Blight Mambas should never die as they have regenerate.

Corpse Cur is too slow :( I think that better for bringing creatures back is Postmortem Lunge !

June 9, 2014 5:24 p.m.

!!! That is so much better than Corpse Cur . What is that mana symbol called in the rules, if you know? I want to search on Gatherer for more cards like it.

I realized that Corpse Cur was too expensive and thus late game (and would mean your deck is preforming poorly) the moment I hit 'enter'.

The symbol is phyrexian mana ;)

Just bought this deck from MCM. It was 29 w/ shipping, so it wasn't the cheapest place, but I bought it anyway. Love the idea and just $10 overall card price is very good when it's still pretty competetive. I'll try it at FNMs and see, does it really work against $500+ decks, cause I'm still curious about it. Gave it +1. Love it!

FIX I replaced Predator's Strike with a playset of Rancor . So I didn't buy all the cards and I'll buy the playset of Rancor from my friend.

June 10, 2014 7:48 a.m.

IDK, I think Predator's Strike is better than Rancor for the purpose of this deck. It grants +1 more power, +3 Toughness, and trample, with the downsides compared to Rancor being that it costs one colorless mana more, it is temporary until end of turn, and it does not return to your hand. That said, I really feel the extra toughness and extra point of power really makes this the better card (in this situation, I am aware how good Rancor is normally).

That all said, what card would you remove to put in Invigorate or even possibly Postmortem Lunge ?

June 13, 2014 1:10 p.m.

So I'm on Card Kingdom, and I'm replacing Groundswell with Invigorate instead of Vines of Vastwood . I feel the basic ability, plus the kicker of +4/+4, vastly overplays the basic +2/+2 and requirement of having dropped a land. Admittedly, that requirement is not a difficult one to achieve, but there are ways to prevent it.

June 13, 2014 8:10 p.m.

Let me say, I've made a prototype, played against a friend's "flicker" deck. Vines of Vastwood has secured the win a few times, thanks to actually providing my opponent's creatures "hexproof" from my perspective.

I replaced Predator's Strike with Rancor because the seller at MCM didn't sell it, and it would have been much more expensive if I would have bought it from another seller, and my friend was selling his playset of Rancor so it was a right time to buy them. Otherwise I think I would have bought the Predator's Strike .

Fantastic deck. Running an altered version and love it.

Quick thought... What about a few Elvish Spirit Guide ?? They would chuck in some extra mana and make turn two a much more likely win?

Just a thought, let me know what you think :)

June 23, 2014 10:29 a.m.

IDK, I do not think we need more mana if all of our cards cost 2 or less, with a handful costing only 2 life. I would be kind of irritated if I missed out on an extra pump in order to have this in my starting hand.

After running an altered deck of this for a little while i think i agree. I have had two T2 wins and having this in my starting hand would greatly hinder that chance.

Hey, looks like a great deck. Just went to buy it on Magiccardmarket.eu and it came to over 30.00?? Was wondering if there's a better site or what. I'm in Ireland so no shops nearby that sell 'em.

I bought it fom MCM too, and it was around 30 aswell. But I bought it anyway, because I didn't know any other place where to buy it from, so I paid the 30 because it's still FNM competitive for a great price.

BTW, I think Rancor is much better than Predator's Strike , because Rancor is gonna stay. Pred. Str. Is until EOT and because of this deck's speed, 2mana is too much (for me anyways) because then you don't have the mana for more pumping. For me the fact that it gives trample is the most important thing and if you can, you can wait a turn and then use all your pumps and kill the opponent(this is if the apponent has creatures. If he/she does not, trample isn't that much value).

July 25, 2014 9:10 a.m.

Yeah, I used this deck this past week. It induced a berserk state in my opponent. Not for the weak of heart. This was not using Rancor, but after using the deck, I definitely see how things could be improved with it exponentially.

I removed 2 Forest and 2 Apostle's Blessing to fit in 4 Unnatural Predation , i found that i was getting too many lands and not enough things that will actually provide boosting effects. Unnatural Predation seems to be making the deck work much faster for me than it was before with constant wins

I got the deck about a month ago and i've made very few changes. I put in 4*Rancor for the predators strike and have been very impressed, my creature becomes much nore of a threat and the constant trample and +2/+0 has worked out great. Best of all when my creature dies it goes to my hand and theres almost a "bonus" with each creature and rancor. Ichorclaw deals extra damage when blocked so it gets nasty, blight mamba rejens so they cant do anything about it and necropedeplaces and extra -1/-1 counter for an almost removal like feel. Ive also swapped 4 forests for 4 inkmoth nexuses and another 4 forests for cathedrals of war.
