I first found this deck when my friends and I got back into Magic for a short period of time. One of my friends kept beating the rest of us with his Blue/Black discard deck, so I was annoyed. I found this deck, ordered the cards I needed, built the deck, and then proceeded to trash everyone. He got mad, everyone else got mad, we stopped playing Magic.

tl;dr this deck ruins friendships. 10/10

It's a really cheap deck ($$$ wise) but.. It works! Love it!

Thank you so much for posting this deck! I bought this for about $25 and it works great. The only suggestions I have are using invigorate which you already mentioned because it is legal now and replace groundswell with rancor. Groundswell is a great card but if you didn't play a land that turn you only get +2 and if they have a blocker the extra boost doesn't help much. Rancor gives you trample and +2 permanently until they destroy your creature or Rancor. When it does go to the graveyard it goes right back to your hand and you can play it again unless they exile it. Has anyone tried some some artifacts or lands that give double strike or that make the creature unblockable with shroud like inquisitors flail, whispersilk cloak, or rogues passage? I've also been thinking of trying Llanowar Augur which gives +3 and trample. Has anyone tried any of these?

The main thing it really needs is more mana ramp, and less buff spells.

Is there a sideboard?

Simple, and perfect.
