I appreciate it, but I think the deck should stay creatureless. I really want to be able to run Innocent Blood and Damnnation and play them whenever, so that I don't risk hurting myself. As for Ghost quarter, my mission is to prevent them from casting anything, so I'd really like to get rid of any mana for good. Thanks again man, I appreciate it!

I think it wins in large part due to the $700 price tag...

Icbrgr Thank you so much, hope you enjoy playing with it as much as I do!
czarkingrex you can replace Damnation in the sideboard with Mutilate dropping the price down from $648 to $424 with almost no impacts on gameplay. Also, you can replace Crucible of Worlds for Price of Knowledge or Temporal Extortion for a weaker version of the deck. If you do add in Price of Knowledge, keep in mind you will also have to replace Liliana's Caress with something else. This will drop the price to around $210. Hope this helps!

How come you have this deck listed as casual? Is it not modern or legacy legal?
February 24, 2017 9:17 p.m.
SpookyToe While this deck is legal in Legacy, I prefer to keep the format at casual so I have absolutly no restrictions on what I can put in to make it as good as it can be.

Oh, good god, this deck needs a Smallpox.
I see you've already considered it. Why did you remove it? It seems like it fits perfectly here: you aren't affected by the creature sac, you have the advantage on lands, and the life loss is irrelevant.
Also, Fatal Push seems pretty darn good here as well.
This looks delightfully vicious. You get my +1.

Daedalus19876 Thanks for the comment and upvote!
The main reason I did not include Smallpox or Pox is because of the discard effect. The entire gameplan of the deck focuses on removing their land so their hand builds up. Even if they're down a land, that means they are also down a card, which takes away some effectivness of cards such as Black Vise and Liliana's Caress.
I've tested Fatal Push in this deck and while its a very good card in modern, I feel like it limits me more than the removal I am using now, Innocent Blood, in casual play. Unlike Fatal Push, Innocent Blood does not limit me to small creatures, and it gets around hexproof/shroud/indestructable creatures. While it is still a sorcery, it is unlikely that my opponent (lacking lands) will be able to do too much until my turn unless said creature has haste. Thanks again!

Snap157: I see your point, but it counts as a discard for Liliana's Caress, and the life loss exactly offsets the 1 extra damage from Black Vise (assuming they're at full hand size already). To me, it looks like a 2-mana fusion of Sinkhole and Innocent Blood. But you're obviously tested the deck so you're the one who knows how it runs :)

Daedalus19876 I've never thought of it that way- thank you! I'm still concerned about the downsides of the card but am considering adding in 2 copies, replacing Geth's Verdict and one Rain of Tears for it. What do you think?

Damnable PactTheres a game ender right there
February 27, 2017 9:21 a.m.
so in your budget section you say replacing Damnation with Languish is a downgrade. But think about it, you will only be siding in board wipes against decks that lay lot's of creatures, any deck that lays lots of creatures is more likely to have a creature with indestructible than a creature with 5 toughness
TL;DR: Damnation is only better than Languish if their playing big creatures, if their playing big creatures, Innocent Blood and Geth's Verdict are better, why are you siding in board wipes?
February 27, 2017 9:50 a.m.
Dunadain While I would put Mutilate or Languish in for a budget deck, I stick with board wipes like Damnation because its final. If my opponent is playing tokens and gets several out early game, Innocent Blood won't get the job done if they all need to go.

Any deck with 4 strip mines is going to do well. It's nothing to be proud of. That's why strip mine is banned in every format.

Snapdisastermage please leave if you do not approve of a card. Strip Mine is legal in a few formats, and I suggest you check them out. Have a good day.

Wrong, Strip mine is legal in commander (singleton format) And restricted to one copy in vintage. There are 0 formats where 4 copies of strip mine are legal. The same goes for timevault. Not trying to be rude, but that is the reason this deck is so good. With no rules restrictions, literally any deck can be "good"

Take the "competitive" out of the tag please. This deck is not legal in any competitive events what so ever.
April 18, 2017 8:13 p.m.
Yes, being overpowered does tend to be a goal of "Casual" decks. Every year my LGS holds a casual tournament, where this is perfectly legal and encouraged. With that being said and with this deck having come in first 2 years in a row, I think it's safe to say that it is competitive. If you are looking for a certain format, I have many decks on my page that work quite well for me. If you have any other issues with the deck I encourage you to contact me via direct messaging.

Huckster2015 awesome! Be sure to sideboard properly, also there are a few types of decks that tear this apart, (not telling anyone just yet lol) and luckly those don't show up at my LGS! Best of luck to you!
