Gitaxian Probe isn't terrible card so you have only 52 terrible cards.

lol it was a joke between a few friends and myself, so i decided to call the deck it - more of a sarcastic name - tho i don't expect others to pick up on it =P

What in the world is the deck picture? is that a card?!? If not, how do I upload pictures!

The card is called "the cheese stands alone" from unglued i think

wow, that's comical. I would give you suggestions on ur deck, but I'm not to sure how to even play storm. I fought one once and the storm guy ran outa cards before he could kill me...I had Sun Droplet out so he couldn't burn me faster then I was gaining over a series of turns...
Mana ramp?:::::

=P
Our mana ramp come in the forms of sorcery and instant cards that provide more mana than they cost to cast. cards like Desperate Ritual and Pyretic Ritual .
May 2, 2014 1:44 a.m.
oh yah, duh, and Manamorphose gives color and card, ok yah.
But, with permanent ramp like land search or Utopia Sprawl you can work your way up to big creatures while storming?
I'm just tossing out my thoughts. I like big end game so when I see this, I think it needs masses of mana and a few massive creatures with some search like Primal Command . Also, Simic Sky Swallower might be good with mana ramp. He has shroud so he can't just be removed!
So yah... I'm weird but, there's my 2 cents

So I'm not one for online playtesting. I dug up, bought, borrowed, and proxied cards to bring this deck together for a little while to play with my friends. Three-way game, friend on my right has Allies, friend on my left has Infect. Allies has ALWAYS won turn four, and infect is, of course, infect, so I figured I might be able to pop this deck off on one of them if I was lucky.
Turn two. Turn friggin' two, and I went first, so these guys had one mana each. I started popping off mana ramps, manamorphose, drawing cards, peer-through-depths-ing, pulled out two Ascensions and the Swath, and finally struck gold with not one, but two Grapeshots. Turn two, twenty-some cards left in my library, over sixty damage to each of them with those storms. Needless to say, I love this deck, and I want to bear your children.

'bear your children,' wow, that's funny, sounds like something out of the blue I would say.
Yah, I have been lookin at storm for a bit and it is nasty when designed well. Some chance is involved in it though, but it's like a critical hit deck. Get the right hand and draw, boom.....

LOL thanks guys =P
yea there is a certain amount of luck with this deck, sometimes you fizzle on mana halfway through going off and it just ruins your game, but more often than not i find it's fine. I've had a few turn 2 games, the goblin player wasn't too impressed lol.
Nickiru - in regards to your previous comment about ramping with green/adding more green cards, unfortunately they don't really have a place in the deck, as cards in this deck are either to make mana on the spot or draw us more cards to either draw more or make more mana. keeping it in 2 colors also helps with the mana base as we are only running 2 colors. hopefully this has cleared some stuff up.
Again thanks guys for the questions, testing and overall response that this deck has received.

instead of Desperate Ravings , you should use Wild Guess . it doesn't have the flashback, and is more mana restrictive, but you are pretty much guaranteed the 2 red mana for it I would assume and you can choose the card to discard.

Also, you might want the new card, Dictate of the Twin Gods in here, I am not sure how much mana you end up with in this deck, but double damage seems nice to have along with the flash ability to play at the end of your opponent's turn.

Dictate of the twin gods is nice, but doesn't really suit the deck here, as what it's providing for 5 mana, we could get better for 3 (Pyromancer's Swath or Guttersnipe ) however it is still a very nice card. the other point against it, is that it costs too much for it too be effective in this deck unfortunately.
Desperate Ravings is taken over Wild Guess because we can make it cheaper, is less mana restrictive. the Wild Guess is nice in the sense that we get to choose what to discard, however we discard before we draw which is also a downside. The whole not having flashback on its own is also a downside as sometimes you need to be able to do that without Past in Flames .
If I were to replace Desperate Ravings it would be a Faithless Looting I think.
Thanks for the suggestions tho =)

Desperate Ravings > Faithless Looting for 2 reasons:
1: Desperate Ravings gives you a card and Faithless Looting only change your cards in hand.
2: Desperate Ravings is an instant card and Faithless Looting is a sorcery. You can cast it in response of something.
Of course, that's my opinion

There's a small mistake in your description: spells your opponents cast on any particular turn also count towards the storm count.

Goes to give +1.
Then realises The Cheese Stands Alone isn't in the deck.
No cheese :(
Suggests The Cheese Stands Alone .

Hi would Thought Scour be any use to you in this deck. I mean cantrip that can also put the cards that they scryed for, Serum Visions , in the graveyard.

996 points of damage on turn 6, that's damn good. Like, really good.

masta_biomanca I'm pretty sure that's not possible. The maximum theoretical damage output for this deck is somewhere around 600, and that's assuming you cast every one of your 44 spells and cast the 36 instants and sorceries twice each (Past in Flames ) in a single turn. I believe you may have been mistaken that an active Pyromancer Ascension makes those extra spells contribute to storm count. The copies are not cast, they are put onto the stack, so they don't add to storm count.
Also note that you generally want to go off on turn 3-5, and turn 4 is usually the optimal turn to combo off.
