Finks/Redcap + an Aristocrat + Good Fortune Unicorn/Grumgully does your classic Melira combo except they're all Niv-Mizzet trigger hits. Meanwhile Niv as a commander can draw a greedy amount of cards, allow me to play toolboxy creatures and disruption while not worrying about the cardboard lost to board wipes.

This deck is interactive and has combo inevitability, but doesn't force combo wins. Tutors are limited and specific. Only Defense of the Heart unanswered can call in a full combo by itself, giving a turn to prepare, and without it my heavily curated Protean Hulk only represents two combo pieces out of three. Its most powerful cards (Aluren and its multicoloured kid brother Hunting Grounds) aren't tutorable at all. (Okay, Cavern Harpy is tutorable.)

This deck is pretty much the coolest EDH list I've built ever, I'm pretty proud of it. It tends to feel fair at a broad range of power levels.
