Hello!!!!!!!
At FNM and a Saturday tournament I put up the score of 6-0! I specifically made this deck to be good against everything that came at it and it definately worked!
Round 1 2-0I played against a new player so i basically helped him through the motions and mechanics of the game and cards.
Round 2 2-0Green/White enchantmentsEasy matchup, he never got a hexproof on the field either game so I killed every creature he tried to enchant and won with pack rat both games.
Round 3 2-0Mono black devotionThis is the match up I was waiting for! Game one was slow until i resolved a sin collector taking his sacrifice spell then slammed down the blood baron and raced his demon.Game 2 I won with turn 1 thoughtseize his removal turn 2 duress removal turn 3 sin collector removal turn 4 pack rat and raced the demon with an underworld connections in play.
Then came the Saturday tournaments with a little more spice.
Round 1 2-1Black/White enchantment controlI strait up lost the game one to her pulling 3 contaminated grounds on me.Game 2 had the discard for a contaminated ground but after she top decked another we played the slow game of hopefully keep Eberos offline, I ended up winning with a blood baron.Game 3 no discard but 2 pack rats... must I say more...
Round 2 2-1Lost game 1 to the lack of answers to the gray merchant and surprisingly instant rescue from the underworld.Game 2 i got all the kill and control and landed a blood baron and took over.Game 3 he mulled to 6 and kept a sketchy hand with only 2 lands and high costing creatures. with me being stuck on 4 and him to his 3 later on in the game I just went for the pack rat. He tried to pharika;s cure the pack rat but it was saved by 2 rat goblin ninja elf demon rocks. They then decided to do 7 damage a turn for the 3 turn clock.
Round 3 2-0Mono red one dropThis is the reason i mainboard the 1 loss/gain. It is also the reason i won game one. It did work as a 1 for 3 then i played blood baron and he scooped.Game 2 he tried to clutter the board taking me to ten on turn 3 but the loss that I sided in swooped in and was a 3 for 1 and a pharika's cure and a pack rat later he scooped.
All in all I love the deck. I have been losing interest in standard and this deck helped me want to play more. If I was to change anything is would be taking the doom blades out of the main and putting more devour flesh or ultimate price because they are just better cards. Also taking out the glares in the sideboard and putting an extra loss and maybe an extra pithing needle? Other than those small changes I think this is a great deck for any tournament because it can handle any deck.
I would still love your feedback and please leave suggestions.
P.S. i didnt draw high priest once so I dont know if it is good. I wanted it against mono black for whip and underworld and aggressive decks as a 2 for one. I would love to see how you all feel about that decision!
