Talrand is a fun and easy commander to play which involves a lot of counterspells. The entire point of the deck is to control as many opponents as we can by countering any spell they cast. Commander is just as much a political format as it is skill based one, so just countering every spell will make you a target very early on. A rule to consider is only to counter spells which affect you or ones that will gain favours from our opponents.
