Love the deck if only you were running black I would have suggested Phyrexian Crusader and Plague Stinger but great deck anyway,

Also I forgot to mention you should cut 2 forest you have plenty of mana and your Highest Drop cost only two.

Too bad Llanowar Augur lacks the surprise factor your other creature buffers do. But still a good card.

holy shit! this decks kills you so fast! The only think its missing is some hexproof. If your creature gets killed, the deck can fall apart, as the other decks will slowely take control. So i would suggest a Ranger's Guile , for the land cut suggested by Resonance.

I have a mono-black infect deck as well not nearly as fast or as effective though. It runs Plague Stinger and Phyrexian Crusader
I'm really hesitant to take out more lands. U really want to hit your land drops for the first 3 turns but also later on to keep Groundswell a +4/+4
If I had more room I would run Unnatural Predation and honestly Ranger's Guile might find it's home in the sideboard but it doesn't prevent against Surgical Extraction a card that really tears this deck to shreds.

I agree, no need for 24 lands with your curve stopping at two

I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more Pendelhaven .

You got to add what Goostee just suggested It would be perfect for this deck plus its basically a upgraded forest.

added. I know most decks run 2 but I think 1 should be fine.

Vines of Vastwood possible sideboard card? also I know your going for the one drop buffers but how about Predator's Strike gives your creature trample for one more mana?
October 10, 2013 11:28 p.m.
You might want to drop some forests for either Apostle's Blessing , Ranger's Guile , or Vines of Vastwood as Resonance said. You really want to protect your infect creatures since you run so few.

I see what you're doing and I would recommend a Contagion Engine
October 26, 2013 5:40 p.m.
Blizzicane says... #14
Contagion Engine is way too slow for his deck It will take Turn 7 to pull it off when in infect he would want to at least win by turn 4 and turn 5 the most its all about speed for this deck.
You should considering swapping Necropede for Blight Mamba because the Regeneration might come more in handy than a -1/-1 counter

Fair enough, I haven't used an infect/counter deck in a while so I forgot how much it cost and didn't take it into consideration.

APPLE01DOJ says... #16
Well the engine has cool artwork. Necropede is to answer the rare 1/1 1 drop or Dark Confidant I like the regeneration though so will probably do a split. And yea if this deck doesn't win by turn 5 it's not winning. ...but commonly does the job by turn 3
October 26, 2013 8:33 p.m.
While I know that Contagion Engine was too slow, what about a Contagion Clasp ? It deals with 1/1's or Bob just like you said Necropede does, and it could provide reach if you haven't won by T5.
Also, why is Aspect of Mongoose in your sideboard? Wouldn't a Ranger's Guile be better? You can't pump the Mongoose'd creature. Unless it's for the mirror match or something like that, in which case, don't mind this part of my comment.

well I like Contagion Clasp cause I read it as T:Add a poison counter to target player.
I think it'll probably be too slow to make a difference. I'll SB a copy though.
I don't remember why I put Aspect of Mongoose on my SB. I've never once sided it in. I remember I liked that I could reuse it, but that's about it.
I see the value in Ranger's Guile /Apostle's Blessing ...but honestly if I had more room I would add Noble Hierarch MB first. I like that this deck is pump or offense. No defensive actions :)
November 14, 2013 10:04 a.m.
@APPLE01DOJ: I agree offense > defense in an Infect deck, but in a way Apostle's Blessing is offensive, as it can make your creatures un-blockable; Which is something you're denied access to by not including blue (and I'm not counting Rogue's Passage , because that card is so slow).
Yeah Contagion Clasp is a little slow, It's primary use would probably be killing off blockers and/or mana sink for when your creatures have eaten spot removal.

APPLE01DOJ says... #21
I didn't realize that you could use it to make something unblockable.
I know this deck doesn't have Unblockable U Infect creature I forget the name of or Artful Dodge ...but trample has got the job done this far.

Also, what do you think the appropriate land count should be for this deck?
People have told me to lower the count to 20 or so, ...but there have been a few games I would have won T3 instead of 4 or 5 if I would have just hit 1 land drop so I'm not sure about lowering it anymore.
I'm considering dropping it for more Noble Hierarch
November 14, 2013 10:28 a.m.
You could drop it to 20, 21 or 22, with your CMC being so low, depending on how much you'd dislike getting mana screwed from time to time. I think, with the 4 Inkmoth Nexus 's you'd be better off with 22 lands, as the Inkmoth should be animate-able, and pump-able, and that will rarely be possible, with just 2 lands in play.
I would probably add in another Pendelhaven , new legendary rule makes it not suck so bad to draw multiples, and it -is- strictly better than a forest.
My suggestion would be
-2 Forest
+1 Pendelhaven
"Protection from color x" also makes your creature unable to be blocked by creatures of the chosen color, so that's what I meant by Pseudo-unblockable. If you plan to win on T2-T4, it's highly likely that your opponent will have creatures of only one color, making your creature unblockable.

Yea, Inkmoth is why I ended up sticking with Necropede instead of Blight Mamba , just easier to cast. Kinda makes me think I should switch it to Plague Myr since I could use the Myr to activate the Inkmoth rather than pump the Myr.
I know u know quite a bit about magic Dallie so I would greatly value your opinion if u were to look over this
. It's my own original deck idea and I'm trying to make it a real competitive archetype.
Any suggestions, feedback (good or bad), or even more things I may have overlooked.

I love this deck! I will probably be making it soon!
+1! If I could I'd give it +100!
