In addition to the above, 2-4x Horizon Canopy. I'd replace Brushland and some number of Razorverge Thicket for it.

Do you not plan on having a sideboard?

Sunpetal Grove is good as well. I agree with all of NateJHs recommendations. Maybe consider running more basic lands though if your meta has a lot of non basic land hate. I've never heard of Keen Sense before, awesome card. +1

Here is where I got my lands, no Sunpetals and only a few Canopies.

For the sideboard you have access to a plethora of white hate cards. 3 Kor Firewalker, 1 Path to Exile, 3 Pithing Needle (for Liliana of the Veil), 3 Leyline of Sanctity, 2 Kataki, War's Wage, 1 Gaddock Teeg, 2 Nature's Claim.

Thanks for the suggestions guys this has been a huge help, I think i will have a little play around later and see what I can afford (some of those lands are damn expensive) I have a few tapped lands eg blossoming sands which provide White & green mana, would using these put me at a disadvantage until I can afford some of the more expensive cards?

As for the sideboard I haven't really thought about it, at the moment I'm only a kitchen table player. I'm wanting to go to my local FNM so that's why I've decided on building this deck. In all honesty I don't really have a clue about sideboards.

The decks you care about for sideboard are those that are faster than you and ones that can kill your Bogle. Liliana of the Veil is the best bogle killer and Burn, Affinity, and Infect are the decks that are faster, so you have answers for each of those. Affinity is hurt by Kataki and Nature's Claim. Burn doesn't like Kor Firewalker or the Leyline. Gaddock hurts the bigger decks, and Path is just so necessary. Lili folds to Pithing Needle. That should take care of most of the problem decks.

Any GW dual that comes in untapped is good. Horizon Canopy is unnecessarily expensive - don't worry about it. Tapped lands are always worse, I'd consider more basics before I started running them.

Thanks for the help guys, I've added a set of lands now that I can afford I'm going to play test and see how it goes. If I find there's mana problems I'm just going to tinker till I find what works.

Fig thanks a lot for the explanation on the sideboard, defiantly helped me understand on what I need to put in & be focusing on.

As a new player I can say one thing that I really love about playing magic, the community is freaking awesome!

If you can, get Horizon Canopy though. It's a better Brushland that'll draw you a card. Helpful with floods. While expensive, it adds some card draw.

Can someone explain to a noob (me) why you would want 4 Windswept Heath and 3 Wooded Foothills when you only have one or two lands they can fetch? Can they fetch the dual lands? I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. I know this deck doesn't require much mana to work but the cost/benefit don't make as much sense to me.

TacoFactory, yes, they do grab the Temple Garden. That's why fetchs are so good, they can get all shocklands(within the colors of the fetch). They are the best way to have all of your mana you need(in this case double white, and one green by turn 2-3). They also have minimal land thinning, but it really only starts to matter when you use several fetchs or have very few lands.

I'm not sure I entirely agree.

The power of fetchlands + shocklands is undeniable. They are currently the best mana fixing in the game (aside from fetch + ABUR) and have proven able to support even 4 and 5 color decks for fixing.

BUT remember that although the most consistent, they are also very painful. And in a fast format playing a deck that has a semi-slow start but is unbeatable when it gets going, life loss from lands does matter. And also remember that this is a 2 color deck, so mana fixing is relatively easy and life loss is relevant.

I am not saying a fetch / shock mana base is bad, but in this deck I can honestly say that you can do better than a full fetch / shock mana base because they are painful and the deck thinning is almost nonexistent when running only 4 fetches. I'd especially cut the Temple Garden down to 1. Fill up on Razorverge Thicket because it is the best land for this deck - untapped early when it matters. Next, add 2 Wooded Bastion. They allow you to go T1 Bogle and then have WW available on turn 2 for casting enchantments, as most of your enchantments are white. I'd keep the Sunpetal Grove at 3 at the most because it is tapped turn 1 and sometimes 2, but it is still a G/W untapped land. Don't run any lands that come in tapped, even life lands because they are bad and pain lands are also too painful. There are plenty of other options available.

Summary: drop 3 Temple Garden, add 2 Wooded Bastion and 1 Razorverge Thicket. It should help the mana base even more.

Thanks for the suggestions, I myself am a magic noob and at the moment the deck is still a prototype.

I'm just constantly changing the lands at the moment and play testing to see what I find works best for me.

dude. this is a 300 dollar deck. if your a noob try not to spend so much money. this seems good. if you want a lower budget version, look at Ethereal Power Rangers

I'm terms of what I would call competitive magic I am a noob. Though in terms of magic in general I've played kitchen table for awhile & already had quite a few of the cards in the deck. I also got extremely lucky and pulled a foil goyf which I sold, and with that money I plan to buy the parts of this deck I don't have.
